Everything eventually comes to an end, and so did this cruise party. The captain had announced that we would reach the port in six hours, marking the final stretch of this chaotic, unforgettable event. As I sat through the last brunch, a whirlwind of emotions coursed through me. This past week had been nothing short of a storm—secrets unearthed, emotions unraveled, and once again, my past had come creeping back into my present.

Dressed in a white cotton dress that skimmed my thighs, paired with minimal accessories and a delicate white bow nestled in my hair, I sat alone, waiting for the others to arrive. The hall remained eerily empty, save for the soft clinking of cutlery being arranged by the staff. I was the only one here—unsurprising, considering I hadn’t slept a wink last night. My mind had been a battlefield, torn between thoughts of Ishaan and Nikki, replaying everything that had unfolded like a relentless reel I couldn’t turn off.

The entire night had been spent devising my next steps, strategizing my way forward. And after hours of analyzing every possibility, I had reached a single conclusion—I needed to talk to Mahira. I had to extract every detail about the night she had given herself completely to Dhruv. The truth lay somewhere within that moment, and if I could get access to the CCTV footage of that specific date and time, I might finally uncover the evidence I needed.

But there was one decision I had made with absolute certainty—I would not involve Ishaan. Not this time. I had no desire to drag him into this mess, nor did I want to rely on him anymore. Whatever lay ahead, I would face it on my own.

"Maassii!"

Evara’s sweet, childish voice rang through the air, her excitement bubbling over as she ran toward me. I turned in my chair just in time to see her tiny feet padding across the floor, her arms outstretched, eyes twinkling with unfiltered joy.

I barely had time to brace myself before she crashed into me, her small frame collapsing into my arms like the softest plush toy. A warm giggle escaped me as I knelt down, holding her close.
