I had never felt this much confusion in my life, especially not when it came to something as simple as picking an outfit. I’d been rummaging through my clothes for the past half hour, trying to find the perfect fit. My first date with Ahana was only half an hour away, and I was still nowhere near ready.
Sighing in frustration, I muttered, "Why am I feeling so restless? Ugh, fuck it."
I quickly settled on a light blue shirt and white pants—simple, but summer-appropriate. Glancing in the mirror, I nodded to myself. "Perfect. This looks good."
I grabbed my wallet, phone, and bike keys—don’t ask me why I grabbed the keys when I wasn’t even sure if I was using the bike. Finally, I sprayed on some cologne, hoping the scent would calm my nerves a bit.
As I stepped out, the heat of July hit me, but it barely registered. My thoughts were consumed by one thing: Ahana.
This trip to Goa had been nothing short of a blessing for me. It had given me more than just beautiful views and a getaway; it had given me Ahana—someone who had walked into my life like an angel. And she had completely turned my world upside down. A beautiful mess, that’s what it had become.
The past five days of the trip had been unforgettable, and now, after everything we shared, we were keeping our promise to each other: planning dates, moments, time together. Today was our first date, and it was organized by none other than her.
My lady.
I couldn’t wait to see her, to spend that time with her, to see where this new chapter of my life would take me.
I stood outside the café, waiting for her, my mind racing with nerves. It had only been two minutes, but it felt like an eternity. I glanced at myself in the mirror of my bike, adjusting my collar, trying to calm my nerves. But just as I was lost in thought, I heard the door open, and everything inside me froze.
When I looked up, I was completely lost. There she was—Ahana—walking toward me with hurried steps, her white summer dress fluttering as she moved. It ended just above her thighs, and with every step, my heart skipped a beat. Her smile was so genuine, and the way she looked at me made everything else fade into the background.
