When I woke up, a warm weight wrapped around me caught my attention. As my eyes fluttered open, I found myself face-to-face with Ishaan. His arm was draped lazily around my neck, the other resting securely on my waist, while my own hands had unconsciously wrapped around him like he was a life-sized teddy bear. Our legs were tangled beneath the covers, and the heat radiating from our bodies provided a comforting cocoon of warmth.

I let my gaze linger on his face, taking in every detail. His parted lips, slightly ajar in the stillness of sleep, gave him an innocent, almost childlike appearance. Thick, dark lashes fanned his cheekbones, brushing against the smooth skin that bore no trace of worry lines. Lucky man, I thought with a faint smile. Even his imperfections—the faint pigmentation on his otherwise soft, pink lips and the occasional breakout—only seemed to enhance his natural charm. His stubble, faint and precise, framed his jawline, accentuating its sharp angles in the dim light.

Unable to resist, I slowly lifted a hand from his waist and gently brushed my fingers along his cheek. The soft graze of my touch made him stir, his eyebrows scrunching together in an adorably irritated expression. I couldn’t help the quiet giggle that escaped my lips.

Deciding to push my luck, I ruffled his messy hair and traced my fingers along his cheeks and ears, watching with amusement as he wriggled slightly in protest.

"Ahana..." he mumbled groggily, his voice deep and raspy from sleep, "stop it."

But his half-hearted complaint only encouraged me further. "Wake up, sleepyhead," I whispered, my fingers continuing their mischief.

His eyelids fluttered open, revealing his drowsy gaze as he peeked at me with one eye. "You’re impossible," he muttered, but the corners of his lips tugged upward ever so slightly.

"Good morning to you too," I teased, unable to suppress the grin on my face.

He let out an exaggerated sigh, shutting his eyes again. "You’re lucky I like you. Otherwise, you’d have been in so much trouble right now."
