Unpredictable. Eventful. Adventurous. That is what my life had become.

"Ma'am, here is the key."

"Thank you."

Never had I imagined that I would be orchestrating the wedding of my ex-boyfriend while simultaneously assisting his fiancée in seeking justice. Instead of being at my workplace, calmly analyzing reports, here I was, standing in Bangalore, determined to uncover the truth behind the culprits targeting my ex’s fiancée.

Ding.

The lift doors slid open, and I stepped out, following the staff member with measured steps.

"Ma'am, this is your room."

"Thank you so much, I can manage from here."

"No, ma'am, please allow me to take your luggage inside. It's my duty."

I opened my wallet, took out some cash, and handed it to the man, who appeared to be in his forties. He looked around, hesitated, then said, "Here's a tip for your service, but please, I insist. I will handle it. Thank you so much, sir."

His face lit up with a genuine smile as soon as I finished speaking. "As you wish, dear. Good evening. I hope you enjoy your stay."

"Good evening."

The door to the room opened, revealing a cozy sanctuary. The warm brown tones of the room were complemented by a huge window draped with white curtains, offering a beautiful city view.

I placed my suitcase in a corner. There was no need to unpack it; after all, I was only staying for two days. My toiletries and a few essentials would be all that I needed to arrange.

After quickly showering, I brewed some coffee in the kettle and settled into the chair by the window, ready to continue my investigation.

From the CCTV footage I’d reviewed, it seemed that Mahira was clueless about what had truly happened to her. She believed it was Dhruv who had wronged her. While I didn’t think she was entirely mistaken, there was far more to the mystery than met the eye.
