Ahana -18
"Do me a favour, don't restrict these feelings, Ishaan, please."
He smiled softly at me, and I couldn't help but mirror his smile, the tension between us slowly melting. But then, a thought struck me. I quickly remembered the clue I had handed to him earlier. I reached into my pocket and pulled it out.
The riddle read: "I can run but cannot walk. I have sound but can't talk. I have a bed but can't sleep."
I stared at it for a moment. "That sounds so sad and confusing," I remarked, my mind racing as I tried to figure it out.
Ishaan, however, didn't miss a beat. "Well, it's so easy. It's a river," he replied, his voice confident.
I blinked, surprised by how quickly he got it. "How do you catch the riddles in seconds? Genius," I said, half in awe, half in disbelief.
He chuckled, a warm, effortless sound. "It's all about thinking outside the box," he said, flashing me a grin before he moved ahead, continuing his search for the next clue.
I stood there for a moment, watching him walk ahead, impressed by his quick wit and the way he seemed to handle everything with such ease. As he turned back to check if I was following, I couldn't help but smile to myself, my heart fluttering in a way I couldn't fully explain.
After a few steps, we entered the most galvanic scenic spot, and I was instantly lost in the incredibly pleasing view before me. The soft babble of the river was soothing to my ears, making the moment feel timeless.
"Majestic," I whispered, barely aware of the words leaving my lips as I took in the beauty.
"It really is," Ishaan replied, his gaze not on the view, but on me.
I blinked in confusion, slowly raising my eyes to meet his. There was a slight hesitation in my expression, unsure if he was talking about the view or something else.
"The view... the view is really amazing," he remarked quickly, a faint hint of a smile tugging at his lips.
I couldn't help but feel the need to hold onto the moment a little longer. I glanced back at the river, its peaceful flow giving me a sense of calm.
