May inabot siya sa akin libro.
"Oh. Yan. Magnda yang story na yan. Sci-fi. Yan yung mga libro na gusto mo diba? Tapos ko nang basahin yan."
Di na lang ako nagsalita. Tinignan ko yung libro na inabot niya sa akin. Cover pa lang, parang maganda na. Hahah. Minsan kasi ang basehan ko sa mga libro eh yung cover eh.
"Uhm. Pupunta ka ba sa practice namin sa Sabado?"
"Xavier invited me, so I'll come."
"Kapag ako ba yung nag-invite sayo, pupunta ka?"
Aba! Di ko ineexpect na tatanungin niya yan.
"Maybe." yun lang yung nasabi ko.
"There are only two choices, it's 'yes' or 'no'. But people tend to answer 'maybe' even if it's not included in the choices. Why do you think? Is it because they are afraid to answer a 'no' or a 'yes' in the question or are they confused--"
"Because they aren't in the situation yet so they don't know what to say."
"Then, can you please come in our band practice on Saturday?"
O.o
"Ha? What are you talking about?"
"You said that people answer 'maybe' instead of answering 'yes' or 'no' because they aren't in the situation yet. Now that you're already in the situation, what will you reply?"
"Yes. Of course, Xavier already invited me so I'll come."
"Forget about Xavier. Pretend that I asked you first."
Pretend?! Tss. Nasisiraan na ata ng ulo itong isang to ah!
