"Fuck!"

I turn my head to see a man with messy raven black hair and gorgeous sea green eyes look down at his phone. He puts the phone away and tugs at his hair in frustration. He looks troubled and I felt sorry for him, I would ask if he was alright but I have always had a thing for not being able to form a complete sentence and say them outloud near attractive men.

"Mommy, that man just swore." my four year old daughter, Selena tells me.

"I know, and what are you never going to do without mommy's permission?" I ask her.

"Swear at anyone or swear in general, mommy." She tells me, giggling. I look into her perfect, blue eyes and sandy blonde hair. A spitting image of her father. Father. He isn't a father, he is a useless piece of trash that needs to be banished to Tartarus.

"Now what am I going to do, Rachel?" I hear the man speak into his phone. "No! I was supposed to stay at yours for the week while I do this project! Now you bail on me without a place for me to stay? If I don't do this project then I'm fired! I got to pay rent and my tax and all that crap and you want to bail on me so you can go to the spa with Piper? I thought I knew you. You know what? Fine, Sure go ahead to the spa. You won't have to deal with me anymore because we are breaking up." He takes a deep breath and sighs into the phone and groans.

"You have to stop hanging around with the former Aphrodite cabin, Rachel! No, I don't bloody mean the phone connection! I mean us! as In our relationship! it's over!" He shouts, and everyone in the station around us stares at him, some give sympathetic looks and some look at him like he is in the wrong. Poor guy.

"Enjoy the spa, Rachel." He says, then he hangs up. He looks torn, and I felt really sorry for him. Whoever he was talking to seems like a right cow, leaving him without a place to stay just so she can visit the spa with someone? pathetic.

I take a deep breath, and approach the man that now seems to be crying, sitting on his suitcase with the other bags littered around him in a circle. I put Selena down and she instantly knew what I wanted her to do. She was unbelievably intelligent like that. Selena walks up to the crying stranger and taps him slowly on him strong, toned arm. Stop it, Annabeth! Can't you see the poor man is hurting? He just broke up with his girlfriend for God's sakes! The man looks up at Selena with glassy eyes but when he really saw her, he instantly smiles and blinks away the tears.

"Hello, sweetheart. Are you here by yourself?" He asks, worriedly.

Selena laughs her angelic laugh and shakes her head. "No, I'm here with my mommy, I dropped my penguin so she went to pick him up, it's not that far away so I am safe."

I look down and surely enough, her penguin was lying on the ground by my feet. I pick it up and smile at my daughter's brilliance. She and the man seemed to be having a chirpy conversation and within seconds of me watching, she had the man laughing. He seemed to forget all the stress and drama hat just happened and he laughed while pulling faces at Selena which she copies.I laugh at the pair and the man turns his gaze towards me, my cheeks flare bright red and my eyes widen in panic. Crap. He seems to have the same reaction as me, his eyes wide and mouth hanging open.

"Oh, yeah, monkey man that's my mommy." Selena puts in, innocently. The man looks from me, to Selena, then back again.

"She has your hair." He says then slaps himself. I laugh at his awkwardness, knowing that mine is no better than his was.

"Yes, blonde, wild and untameable." I say with a huff, this time he was the one laughing.

"It looks great to me." He says, looking at Selena who was currently trying to pry her penguin from my fingers.
