Ha Ni woke up with a start, she was going to be late and she knew it, with all the studying she had been doing recently she hadn't been getting a lot of sleep. She rushed around and grabbed everything before rushing into the bathroom, barely beating Seung Jo there. She heard his grumbles and complaints, but she had no time for that, today was the day of her final exam and she was ready.
She finally emerged from the bathroom in some jean shorts with a white blouse tucked inside, a black belt and her chestnut brown hair cascades down her back in soft waves, a white bow to accessories. She runs past Seung Jo again, but he grabs hold of her arm and yanks her back before she can escape.
"Watch where you're going, idiot!" He yells at her, but look at here strangely when he realised she wasn't paying attention.
"Sorry, I'll watch it, but I have to go." And with that, she yanked her arm free and ran down the stairs, skipping breakfast.
Baek Seung Jo knew that was an everyday occurrence now, and it ticked him off. She never had time for him anymore, they were engaged and yet the only time he sees her is when she's sprinting off somewhere. It's not even eight o'clock yet, where could she possibly be going? It was then he remembered about her nursing exam and scoffed, preparing himself to give her the failure speech since she was never home revising, always out till late with friends.
He calmly got ready and thought about the idiot that would be his wife. Was he ready for that? Was he hasty to propose just to prove a point that she couldn't like anyone other than himself? No, the idiot needed to be put in her place, he was he only one she could love. But was proposing the best way to go to do that?
Shaking his head, he walked down the stairs and sat at the table, eating a slice of toast. He saw his mother and Eun Jo come in talking about something in code, Eun Jo spoke with no enthusiasm, but the look in his eye gave him away, whatever they were talking about he was excited about. Something caught Seung Jo's attention 'Ha Ni doesn't want him to know'. What secret is that stupid girl keeping from him this time. He pretends he didn't hear anything and finishes his toast, before leaving for school.
Ha Ni get's to the building on time. She sighed in relief and walked in, knowing that she was on a timer. She looked in the kitchen and found who she was looking for, he was just finishing off the two lunchboxes and smiled as he watched her jump around, ordering to hurry up. He grabs his schoolbag and the two lunchboxes before they both left to make sure they got to their respective exams.
"I'm scared, Dan Ki, what if I mess up? I don't want to let Seung Jo down." Ha Ni voices her worries, knowing she had ten minutes remaining before she had to be in her seat to start the exam.
"You won't mess up, with the amount of revising you've been doing you'll come close to the top I'm sure. If not, I'll personally kick your ass. Anyway, you can always retake the whole year and try again, at least you've tried your hardest, he can't say much." He counters making her laugh, a little stress leaving her shoulders.
"Okay, how about you? Do you think you're going to pass?" She asks her best friend.
She met him four months back in the singing studio in the theatre department where she was taking classes that nobody knew about. She had just finished singing a song and was startled to hear him clapping, ever since that when either of them felt stressed they would meet up and sing, they were even writing a song together which they're going to get a mark on once it's completed.
"I don't know, law is different to nursing... I hope so," He tells her, a small smile on her face.
"Well, when we were revising you got them all right so I'm sure you'll do great." Ha Ni exclaims with a jump.
