Basen asked the child to take them to Ron. The butler was most likely going to help them.

He soon felt the dragon's mana surrounding him, then closed his eyes under the sudden bright light. When he reopened them, he realized that they had not appeared in the butler's personal room, but right in the middle of the main living room of the residence, where Amiru had offered them tea earlier. Ron was not alone either: a crisis meeting had already started in their absence. Everyone had certainly heard the bombs, well, it was to be expected... Anyway, he had already made his decision and it was too late to turn back.

"R-" the young master was about to call the butler, but a worried scream echoed throughout the room.

"Cale!" the young woman ran towards them and threw herself to the floor beside the unconscious young man. After looking at him for a moment, apart from his soaked state, she quickly made the same observation as Basen: "He... he's not breathing...". As soon as her words left her mouth, Ron and Beacrox reacted quickly.

Basen had remained frozen, only moving his eyes to look around him. He saw many curious glances, but he paid no attention to them. His main concern remained Cale, or rather Rok Soo.

The sudden sound of a gasping breath almost made his heart burst out of his chest. Rok Soo seemed to have regained consciousness, coughing out the remaining water from his lungs.

"Cale, are you okay?" Amiru asked even though the answer was obvious. Rok Soo did not seem to have heard her as he fell unconscious again.

"You should call a doctor, we need to be cautious about his condition."

Amiru nodded at Ron's words. She did not move from her place when she addressed a servant who ran off : "Take Cale back to his room and take care of him until the doctor arrives. I will come to see him when I am done here." The young master shivered at the young woman's cold voice. He did his best to ignore it even though he could easily feel her burning gaze.

Neither the Molans, nor Basen or Amiru had noticed that the people in the room had started to flee, sensing the sudden change in the atmosphere. They knew they should not stay there if they did not want to face the storm that was brewing.

After a nod from Amiru, Ron and Beacrox also left.

Basen was now alone again with her, not knowing what else to do, his gaze fell downward.

---

On the Molans' side.

When they arrived in Cale's room, they laid the young man on the bed. Ron went to grab clean, dry clothes to change him. Beacrox took care of the rest to help his father. Once Cale was more comfortably settled, the butler checked on him again. While changing him, he had noticed the young master's unusually cold skin. He hoped that now he could warm him up a bit. With his son, they tucked him under several blankets. Once everything was properly arranged Ron left, leaving Beacrox waiting for the doctor's arrival.

Ron's goal was now to understand what had happened. He joined the living room, where Amiru was still with Basen. On his way, he crossed Cale's personal doctor, accompanied by a maid. His presence reassured him slightly. He frowned thinking of another stubborn young master he would have to deal with now.

He entered quietly, pushing the door without announcing himself. He was still a butler in the presence of nobles, but it was not the time to be courteous.

Inside, the young woman was still looking at Basen, who had not moved. Amiru had stood up to place herself in front of the young man, trying to look stern.

"How is hyung?" Basen asked, looking up at Ron, completely ignoring her presence.

"His doctor has just arrived." He gave no other information. The first reason was simple, Cale was breathing, that was already a good thing but he did not know more about his condition and he did not want to lie. The second reason was purely intentional : leaving him to worry, a sort of punishment after their little secret outing without telling anyone. Although he was sure that the one responsible for this story was Cale rather than Basen. But since he was unconscious, the only one who really knew something was the young man in front of him. His young master would certainly receive reprimands once in better health. He had already told him to ask for help if he needed it. He would probably accept anything, as long as it stopped him from coming back injured every time.

His gaze went once again to the silent young master. He was waiting for an answer as much as Amiru. He didn't even try to hide the truth from the noble lady. Ron also knew she would accept nothing, but the truth. Anyway, a lie would be hard to imagine, maybe that was the reason for Basen's silence.

Basen who had lifted his eyes to look at the butler now stared the living room's door with longing.

After she noticed the young man's movements, Amiru moved slightly to block his view. She had no intention of letting him slip away. "Are you finally willing to speak?"

Her question remained unanswered.

"You know Cale could have died tonight, don't you?!" It was not really a question but more of a statement. Her anger grew at the silence.

Basen would have rolled his eyes if it hadn't fueled Amiru's rage. Was she trying to make him feel guilty? He didn't need her for that. He still remembered what he had felt when he realized the state of... of his brother. He had been so afraid of losing him, and the worst was it wasn't even the first time, but it had never been this close. He also knew it was the best thing to do, nothing could have dissuaded Rok Soo. It was better to accompany him than to let him go alone, the situation could have been much worse. He was sure even their father would have agreed with his way of thinking. Unfortunately, he was not here to help. Maybe he could suggest calling him so she could give him some sort of report and he could handle the problem himself.

"You have anything to say?"

Yes, he would like to go to bed. He had lived enough in one evening than in his lifetime. Not to mention everything that had happened since Rok Soo's illness had been discovered. "I'm tired." Weariness and exasperation colored his voice.

Unfortunately the young woman seemed to have no pity for him. "You will not move from here until you tell me the truth."

He was really exhausted. "Okay, Cale went to fetch an ancient power at the bottom of the ocean near the whirlpools. He caused the explosions, he needed them to clear a path for diving. I don't know more, really, something must have happened between the moment he started dived and when he almost drowned. You should ask him when he wakes up. Now if you'll excuse me." He slipped between the two stunned people to escape and join his brother. Despite the exhaustion, he still had things to do.

---

As soon as he found Rok Soo's room, he entered without waiting. He saw the doctor near the bed, taking care of the young man. Beacrox was still there but had stepped aside to let him do his work.

"How is he?" As soon as Basen asked the question, the doctor answered him.

"As well as he can be when his body has suffered from drowning." He continued seeing the surprised look of the young master. "I was told he was soaked on arrival and the state of his body can only correspond to drowning. I would just like to know why?"

Basen was tired of this question. "You can ask Ron or Amiru." He had no intention of saying more. He quickly found something to sit on and let himself fall on it with a sigh of fatigue so strong that the doctor turned toward him.

"Are you okay young master?"

He closed his eyes and nodded. He heard footsteps approach him but he no longer had the strength to move. A hand appeared on his shoulder and he felt a shiver run through him.

"You should rest a little."

"And you, you should go take care of my brother."

The hand withdrew but the doctor remained near him.

"I can't do anything more for now, he needs rest and maybe a priest-" He hadn't even had time to finish his sentence when the young man stood up.

As soon as Basen did, he felt his body completely empty. He staggered under this strange sensation. He shook his head trying to make his discomfort disappear but it didn't work.

The doctor who saw the young master's difficulty immediately came to his side to help him. With one arm on his shoulder and one on his back, he brought him back to the chair he had left earlier.

"As I said, you really should rest."

"I won't move from here..." His voice faded, he was already about to fall asleep. He knew he was exhausted but not to this extent. He had forced himself to stay calm to help Rok Soo, but now that the pressure had dropped, his body protested.

He had not even noticed that the doctor had left before he heard the door open again, letting several people enter the room.
