(Part 1) Once upon a time, there was a lazy kid named Gilbert, a teacher named Tom, and a friend named Katie. They all lived in a country called England. One day, Gilbert got into trouble. ''I can't believe it'' said Tom. ''You have been in trouble every day this week, so as a punishment i am going to give you extra homework, you have to write a 600 page essay'' he said. At 3:00 things got worse. ''Oh no'', Gilbert said to his friend Katie. ''I can't write a 600 page essay all by myself'' said Gilbert. ''How about i write it for you?'' said Katie. ''Thats a great idea, oh thank you, thank you, thank you,'' he said smothering her with kisses. The next day he handed in the essay. ''Wow this is so good, this deserves an A+'' said Tom. ''Hee-hee,'' laughed Gilbert. ''He will never know that Katie did it for me.'' But sooner or later he will!

The end... of part one

(Part 2) If you heard my last story you would've heard of a kid named Gilbert and a friend named Katie and a teacher named Tom. Now this time, there's a new character, Carol the Mother. So we will get on with the story. That day Gilbert got home, and he opened the door and then... ''Surprise,'' shouted Carol, Gilberts Mother. ''Tom rang me this afternoon and told me that you got an A+, so as a reward i am going to bring you to Mc.Donalds'' she said. ''Oh, er, thank you'' said Gilbert. The next day he was back at school,  but surprisingly he was unhappy. ''Oh dear,'' Gilbert said to his friend Katie. ''Nobody knows that you did the essay for me.'' ''Well maybe you should do the essay or confess to Tom'', said Katie. ''Oh well, maybe i should do both,'' said Gilbert. So that night he done the essay. The next day he confessed to Tom. ''Well at least you done the essay, well done,'' and then they all lived happily ever after.

The End!

Well, that was surely epic. Ben-Hur ain't got nothin' on this! Well firstly, I'm gonna assume that these kids are maybe the same age that I was at the time, 7/8. How on earth can an 8 year old pull off a 600 page essay in one night? Surely it's against some law to give that level of work to a child. Also, how the flying flip did both Katie and Gilbert get it done? They had to have pulled an all-nighter to have managed that. I feel sorry for them, they clearly had no childhood. All the same, poor Gilbert eh? A trip to McDonalds was his big downfall. He tried so hard to be a rebel, but he decided it was too risky and turned his back on the high life. Bless him.

For my first really serious and hard-hitting story about *gasp* cheating, there's not a lot of realism in there at all. The chances of an 8 year old pulling off an essay themselves are already slim, so this is just completely unrealistic. My gritty, true to life epic didn't hit its mark sadly.

Overall rating - 4 out of 10. It was a chore to type out and was practically devoid of any humour. A failed attempt at public relations.

Join us next time for a story that was based on true events. Ooh, spooky.

(Today's song is 'The Importance of Being Idle' by Oasis from their 2005 album 'Don't Believe the Truth'. Probably one of the only post-1997 Oasis songs that everyone seems to agree is really damn good.)
