या मैं करूँ तुम से बयाँ?

Author's Pov
After paying for the food, they made their way back to the car. Akshita quickly settled into the passenger seat, adjusting her dupatta like she always did. Avyay walked toward the driver's side, keys in hand, but stopped. Something had caught his eye.
A small roadside stall. A display of shiny, sparkly, circular glass bangles. They shimmered as the sunlight hit them, tiny clinks echoing in the breeze.
And just like that, his heart skipped.
His gaze softened, mind already miles ahead, picturing Akshita wearing them. Arms raised as she pushed her hair behind her ear, the bangles catching the light. Bangles he had picked. He had given.
He stood still for a moment longer, eyes lingering on the glass bangles at a distance, yet his mind somewhere far beyond the roadside. His heart had already decided, he had to get them for her. That urge was simple and raw, yet refused to be ignored.
Inside the car, Akshita narrowed her eyes, watching him through the windshield. He looked frozen, almost lost. She leaned slightly forward, confused. Then knocked twice on the glass window beside her. "Kaha kho gaye aap?" she called out, frowning.
When he didn't respond, she waved her hands playfully in front of her, the clinking of her own bangles echoing like a soft melody. The sound snapped him out of his haze.
Avyay turned to look at her, his expression unreadable. But instead of replying, he reached into his pocket, locked the car from the outside, a silent way of ensuring her safety, and said gently, "I'll be back in a minute."
Before she could say anything, he was already walking away with hurried steps, eyes back on that small roadside stall.
Akshita blinked. But after a few seconds of watching him disappear into the cluster of vendors, she simply shook her head and went back to scrolling through her phone, the concern slipping away.
Avyay's quick steps came to a halt after crossing the road effortlessly. He now stood in front of the bangle stall, a little breathless, not from the walk, but from something far more restless fluttering in his chest. A hesitation. An affection. And something deeper than that.
His gaze slowly travelled across the vibrant bangles, each color louder than the next.
Every time his eyes landed on a pair, his mind pictured her.
How would she look in these?
Would they really adorn her wrists, or would her wrists be the thing making even the bangles look bland in comparison?
He smiled, almost shyly, as he imagined her reaction.
She would give him that heart-melting smile, the one that captures his heart, the one that he could never seem to get used to, no matter how many times he saw it.
Then she would look up at him with those chocolate-brown eyes. Eyes sweeter than anything else he had ever known. Eyes that held his entire world inside them.
