jab pyaar huaa is pinjade se,
tum kahane lage aazaad raho,
hum kaise bhulaaye pyaar teraa,
tum apanee jubaan se ye naa kaho,
ab tum saa jahaan mein koi nahin hain,
hum to tumhaare ho baithhe,
tum kahate ho ke aise pyaar ko
bhool jaao, bhool jaao
Hum tere pyaar mein saaraa aalam
Kho baithe hain, kho baithe...

Bedi residence brimmed with cheer, joy, and the kind of chaos that only a happy household could create. Servants hurried from one corner to another, fulfilling endless instructions, while family members busied themselves with excited chatter, throwing out orders every other second.

The air was laden with the mouthwatering aroma of freshly cooked dishes, mingling with the scent of brewed tea. While the occasional clink of cups and the crunch of toasted bread crammed the morning hum.

Every face glowed with anticipation, every smile carried relief. And why not? Today, Chhaya was finally coming home. After spending a long week in the hospital.

In the kitchen, the women of the household had completely taken over the duty.

"Akshita, vo besan ke laddoo taiyaar hain?" Chahat asked, stepping forward while wiping her hands with a cloth, her hair tied up in a messy bun.

"Ji, Maa. Aur bhabhi ne kheer bhi bana di hai," Akshita replied cheekily, just as Amira joined the two of them with a satisfied smile.

They looked exhausted. Hair undone, clothes shiftee, faces glowing with heat from the stoves, but the shine in their eyes told a different story. Their expressions radiated nothing but pure contentment.

Chahat cupped both their cheeks, her palms warm and comforting as always, a smile stretching across her face. "Alright then... we should probably make ourselves presentable too, shouldn't we? Varna pata chale Maa hume dekh kar wapas hospital chali jaye," she teased, her voice laced with playful affection.

Akshita and Amira broke into small chuckles at her remark before, with glowing faces, they finally dispersed to their respective rooms to get ready.

After a good half an hour, the entire family had gathered in the hall, each one restless in their own way. Amira, Akshita, Chahat, Aasha, Kritika, Yug, and Arjun sat together, their eyes flickering toward the main door every other second. The air was thick with impatience and excitement.

They were all waiting for the moment Avyay and Shlok would return, bringing Chhaya home after what felt like eternity.

"Yug, Kritika, how are your studies going?" Arjun exhaled deeply, clearly trying to shift the mood, if only for a moment.

"Good-"
"Fine-"

They blurted out at the same time, then instantly turned to glare at each other, eyes narrowing like sworn enemies before dramatically turning their heads in opposite directions.

Amira and Akshita couldn't help but chuckle, exchanging a knowing glance as they shook their heads.

"Ab kya hua inn dono ko?" Chahat asked, her brows lifting as she eyed the two warriors locked in their endless battle.
