Chapter 24 | First Collage Party

Jenn.

It was the morning before the party. I woke up at 9am and saw Crystal already awake and dressed. She was putting on some makeup, although she probably needed nothing but mascara.

"Hey youre awake!" She notices.

"Yeah" i yawn and stretch my arms while i sit up.

"Your phone buzzed a couple times, dont worry i didnt look" she smiles.

"Thanks for letting me know" im liking this girl more and more.

I grab my phone and see Shawn has texted me.

Shawn: quad?

Shawn: meet me at 9:30

Me: kk

9:30? I have a half an hour to get ready! I quickly grab a random outfit and shoes and run to the bathroom. I had a grey tank top with lace at the top, black jeggings, black boots with a high heel, and a floral cardigan. Honestly for me just randomly picking an outfit i loved it. I decided to go with some eyeliner that was a bit bolder than usual. It wasnt over the top but it was more than my usual.

I look at the time and its 9:20. I grab my bag and rushed to the quad. It was hard to run in these boots that i bumped into some guy.

"Oh im so sorry!" I say.

"Its all good" he laughs it off.

This guy had light brown hair, green eyes, looked to be 6'0ft tall, and was very handsome.

"Im Daniel" he holds out his hand.

"Im Jenn" i shake his hand.

"First year here?" He asks.

"Uh yeah"

"Same. Whats your classes?"

"Photography and art, you?" I ask back.

"Im also in art actually"

"Oh maybe ill see you in my classes" i smile.

"I would hope to see a pretty girl like you everyday" he smiles back.

I try not to blush at his sweet compliment. Then i look at the time and it says 9:45.

"Oh my! I have to be somewhere but ill see you later" i say.

"Are you going to party?" He asks.

"Yeah"

"See you then?"

"Sure" we smile.

I quickly run to the grass area and see Shawn laying on the grass listening to music. I go up to him and sit next him. He gets up and stops playing his music.

"Sorry!" I say.

"Its fine you didnt have to be right on time" he laughs.

"Im 15 minutes late"

"So? Its not like your going to work. Youre hanging out with me"

"I just hate being late"

"So you going to the party tonight?" He asks.

"Yeah are you?"

"Of course" he chuckles.

"Met anyone new?" I ask trying to keep conversation going.

"Just my roomate Colton"

"Is he nice?"

"He is a little full of himself but i dont mind"

"Like Crystal?" He asks.

"Yeah she is really nice i think we would be good friends" i smile.

"Nice. Anyone else you met?" He asks.

"Well while i was running to get here, i bumped into this really sweet cute guy"

"Whats his name?"

"Daniel. We might see each other at the party tonight" i smile a little bigger than normal.

"Nice" he looks down but smiles.

Its 7:30 and the party started at 8. Me and Crystal were getting ready picking out each other an outfit. It was her idea and it was so fun. She had so many cute clothes i would trade closets with her if she would let me. I chose a sparkly black, long sleeve shirt, black skater skirt, ankle boot heels, and over the knee socks.

For me she chose a black tight, sexy dress, also with over the knee socks, ankle boot heels, and a small leather jacket. We put on our outfits then do each others hair.

She made mine curly and made it all on one side. For her i brushed out her hair but left it wavy and put it in a cute pony tail. Our makeup wasnt anything special. It was just some mascara and eyeliner with light lipstick.

We look at one another and do a girly scream.

"Can you do this for me everyday!" She says looking in the mirror.

"You are an amazing stylist" i say.

"Maybe i should have done that instead of acting" we laugh.

I hear a knock on our door and open it. A handsome Shawn appears. He was wearing a blue flannel and jeans. Very him.

"Woah" he said.

"You like?" I ask.

"You look...stunning"

"Thank Crystal"

"Ready to go?" He asks.

"Yep, see you there crystal" i look back at her.

"Byee!" She smiles.

The party was outside and cold but it looked so cool. It had lights and a dj playing amazing remixes of popular songs. There was a big food area and a tables. It felt kinda like a prom but more mature but at both of these i dont have a date.

Matt and Shawn took me as friends and it was really fun. Non of us won prom queen or king but Shawn was nominated. Some self conceded jerk won it along with his girlfriend. They were so annoying and thought they were the shit. Everyone followed there lead it was sad. Wonder if they got to any collages.

"Im gonna go get a drink want one?!" Shawn yelled because it was loud.

"sure!"

Shawn waked away to get us some drinks. As i was standing there looking at all the cool lights Daniel comes up to me.

"Hey!" He smiles.

"Oh hey" i smile back.

"You look stunning" he smiles.

"Aw thanks you look great too"

He was wearing a light grey tshirt and a cool stripe sweater, with jeans.

Shut Up And Dance started playing, one of my favorite songs at the moment.

"Wanna dance?" He noticed my happy expression when the song turned on.

"Sure!"

He takes my hand and we go into the crowd where everyone was dancing. He spin me around and we had a great time. After dancing to couple songs we got out of the crowd. Daniel almost tripped out.

"Youre a great dancer" he says.

"Thanks" i smile.

Gosh i smile a lot.

"Wanna drink?" He asks.

"Sure"

As we get to the table with all the drinks and food i remember Shawn was suppose to give a me drink but i left him. I hope he isnt upset. He probably found Colton and gave it to him or something.
