Chapter 13 | The Perfect Gift

Shawn.

"What should we get her?" I ask Matt.

"Clothes?"

"We don't know her size and it will be embarrassing if we get it wrong" I shut down his idea.

"Flowers?"

"Too romantic" Even though that sounded like a good idea it would be awkward.

"How about you find a gift and ill get party supplies?" He suggest.

"Great idea"

Me and Matt go opposite was in the mall. He went to Party City while i kept thinking of ideas looking at what stores were here. Me and Matt thought it would be a great idea to through Jenn a surprise party. Matt is gonna set things up while I'm at dinner with her. We have 2 days to do this but we've been planning for a month now.

I finally past a store called Take A Snap pretty stupid name but i didn't care. I remembered Jenn wanting a new camera if she ever got to go to her dream collage. It was a very creative collage. They had video makers, editors, music writers, singers, photographers, artists, video game makers, animators, everything. I didn't tell Jenn but I'm applying to sing there. Im hoping we get in and surprise her. I just hope she doesn't get in and I do or the other way around. I always want to be by Jenn's side especially in collage.

I walk in and theres a bunch of ppl talking to workers about cameras. I walked over to some of the best cameras. At the very end of the row i saw the camera. jenn's camera. It was shiny and clean. It had the best quality for a camera right now.

"No drooling on the glass sure" a lady said giving a little laugh.

I turn around and see a tall blonde beautiful girl. She wore a shirt that said, "Take A Snap!" With a picture of cartoon camera.

"How much is this camera?"

"About" she looks at it, "$400" she smiled with her Ipad in her arms.

Pricy but worth it. Sure my couple months of allowance is gone but its for Jenn. She isnt the type to take expensive gifts but ill just say, "I lost the receipt".

"Ill take it!"

"Great follow me"

She took my to one of the desks and grabbed the camera. It was in a nice box all sealed up. I gave her my card and she swiped it. I took my card and the camera and thanked her. This is the perfect gift.

"Dude what did you get her?!" Matt asked as we were in the middle of the mall.

"A camera"

"Wait the camera?!"

"Yep"

"Dude she is gonna love you forever"

I laughed.

"What about you?"

"I got confetti, plates, napkins, hats, and fun stuff we can wear and hold for pictures"

"Nice! She is gonna love this party"

I notice Matts wasn't happy anymore. He looked a little made in his eyes.

"Matt?" I asked concerned.

"Jake" he said.
