Chapter 29 | Raining Love

Jenn.

We lean in and as we were about to kiss....my phone buzzes. I look down and look at my phone.

Daniel: Hey Jenn...i really need to talk to you. Meet me at the quad ASAP....

I sigh. I realized i ruined the moment because shawn moved away and was awkward.

"Um...i have to go..."

"Yeah...go ahead..."

We were both awkward now. As im about to leave i hear rain about to pour down. Shawn hands me his dark blue umbrella with white music notes all over it.

"Thanks" i smile

"No problem" he smiles back.

I walked out and as i got outside i opened the umbrella and walked to the quad

shawn.

Right after that awkward moment with Jenn and she walks out my phone buzzes.

Crystal: SHAWN GO TO QUAD NOW! DANIEL CAME TO OUR DORM ASKING FOR JENN AND SAID HE WANTS TO ASK HER SOMETHING HE HAS BEEN WANTING TO FOR A WHILE! HE HAD A SMALL PAINTING IN HIS HANDS TOO! HE IS GONNA ASK HER OUT! GO MAN GO!

I got up off my bed in shock. Why was Crystal telling me this? She must know i really like her. I hurry up and race to the quad. Once i got outside i remember it was raining but i didnt care. I ran in the rain drenched. I got to the quad and hid behind a wall. Jenn heads over to Daniel and starts talking.

"Is everything ok?" She asks concerned.

"Yeah..uh..i made you something.." He says nervous.

"Oh" she says surprised.

He flips his painting towards her. Sadly i couldnt see it but Jenn looks amazed.

"This is beautiful!"

"The teacher told me to put my distraction into art...so i did" he says.

"You were my distraction Jenn. I couldnt stop thinking about you"

"We just met a couple weeks ago" she points out.

"I know..but i dont care.."

"Jenn will you go out with me?" He asks.

My heart starts beating fast. My hands clench. And im praying.

"Daniel..."

"I cant..im sorry"

Wh-whaatt? My heart slows down and im more relaxed.

"Its shawn isnt it" he laughs.

"How did you know..."

"He likes you...you like him...its easy to tell. I was just giving it a shot"

I look down and lightly smile. I did feel bad for Daniel but i knew he was gonna be cool. He wasnt gonna hold a grudge.

Jenn.

I look at the painting. It was the painting he was starting to make in class. "A rose for you" it said with a rose in the middle.

"Your so sweet Daniel. Ill never forget that"

"I know we wont be on 100% non awkward terms for a bit but can we still be friends?"

"Of course"

"Now go get your prince charming" he pats my arm and walks away taking the painting with him.

I look at the wall me and Daniel were closets too and smile.

"Shawn i know youre there"

He slowly comes out drenched with an awkward smile on his face. We meet each other halfway. I close my umbrella an lay it on the floor.

"So am i your prince charming?" He asks.

"Always"

I kiss him. Even though it was raining the sun felt like it was shining.

Shawn.

We stopped kissing, which i didnt want to stop, and i notice something behind Jenn from a distance. Jenn looks down and I realize its Crystal. She gave me a smile and a mouth out the words 'thank you'

Crystal was amazing. She was defiantly a Shenn shipper. Then it hit me...IM DATING JENN DAVIS!
