Chapter 32 | Shes Back?

Jenn.

I wake up and quickly text Matt to meet me at Starbucks. It was Saturday so no classes.

Me: Hey Starbucks? Want to talk.

Matt: Yeah i have exciting news too!

Exciting news? Wonder what. I hurried up and got ready. I wore all black today. A black tank top type thing it had a color and had buttons and the back has lace detail, black leggings, and black ankle boots.

I put on some red lipstick and brushed my hair. I grabbed my purse and headed to Starbucks. I noticed Matt was already siting down, with a huge smile, and already ordered for us. I sat down and took a sip of my drink.

"Thanks for ordering"

"No problem"

"So i have something to tell you" we both say at the same time.

"You go" He says.

"No you"

"Ok...well"

I start sipping my drink.

"Alexa Bardon is back"

My eyes widen and I try not to spit out my drink.

"High school Alexa? The girl you used to like Alexa?"

"Yep!"

"Wow thats great she goes here?"

"Yeah. I wasnt the only one that got in the school later. She also got in along with a bunch of other people"

"Oh thats great"

"Just wait. She found me on campus yesterday before i came to find Shawn and you"

I start sipping my drink again.

"And she told me how her and Jackson arnt together, they broke up after we graduated, and how she wished i was at the dance with her. Long story short...she asked me out"

This time i do spit out my drink and everyone looks at me then looks away.

"You ok?!" Matt asks.

"What did you say?!"

"I said yes. Ive liked her all high school year. She looks so different now. She doesnt wear many skirts anymore and had a growth spirt"

I sit there silent. How am i gonna say this to Crystal?

"So whats your news?" He asks.

Shoot.

"Uh nothing. Wasnt important"

"Jenn...is this about Shawn?"

"What? Nooo"

"Are you sure?"

"Positive"

He sighs, "ok then whats it about?"

"Just...get to know crystal. Thanks for breakfast" i get up and walk out leaving Matt confused.

Now to explain things to Crystal.

"Im sorry Crystal"

"Its ok..."

"I bet you guys would be together if it wasnt for Alexa"

"Maybe.." She sits down on her bed.

For a couple hours i just sketched and listen to music in my dorm while Crystal was on Tumblr and Pintrest. I notice my music go down for a second and feel a vibration on my leg.

I look down and it was a text from Shawn. I turn off my music and put my sketch stuff down.

Shawn: My Dorm?

Me: Sure! Ive been bored for hours.

Shawn: Well Colton is gone so we get to be alone.

Me: Great!

I get up and put on some fresh lipstick and grab my small purse.

"Where you going?" Crystal asks.

"Shawns dorm"

"Oh okay have fun" she gives a smirk.

I roll my eyes and laugh. I walk out of the room and down the hallway. I get outside and as i past the quad i see Matt with Alexa. Damn she was beautiful.

She had long wavy blonde hair, her blue eyes got even brighter, and her teeth were brighter than my future. She was wearing a red shirt with a leather jacket, skinny skinny jeans, and boots. She looked the complete opposite from high school.

They were sitting by the fountain and she kept laughing. That should be Crystal... I have nothing against Alexa. She never did anything bad to me but she had her chance freshman year. Its Crystals turn.

I remembered i had to go to Shawns dorm so i continued walking. Once i got there i knocked on the door. I knocked once and as i was about to knock again, Shawn quickly opened the door.

"Hey" he says.

Before i could say 'hi' he kissed me passionately.

"You ok?" I laugh as I walk in.

"Yeah i just remember i can do that now" he says after closing the door behind him.

I sit on his bed and set down my purse. Shawn sits close next to me and holds my right hand with his left.

"So Matt told me about Alexa--"

"I already know" i sigh, "i feel bad for Crystal"

"I know. I wish we could do something for her that made Matt notice her like how she helped us be together"

"Aren't they going on a date tonight?"

"Yeah why?" Shawn asks.

"How would you like to go on a date tonight Mendes?" I look at him with a smile.

"I would be happy to" he smiles back.
