Scarlett's POV

I sat meadow in her car seat, strapping her in and handing her toys to keep herself distracted.

Today meadow and I are having a girls day with my friend and her little girl. Meadow was really
Excited but she seems a little sleepy and cranky.

But hopefully once she sees a friend she'll be happy and playful.

I hopped into the car and drove off towards of destination. My friend Sage and her little indie have been friends of mine for a while but they don't live near me, they're renting a house for a month near us. It's quite exciting.

I'm excited for meadow to meet indie. She's a sweet girl and I believe meadow and indie are quite the same. So I think they'll enjoy each other.

After a quick 25 minute drive I pulled into the driveway of the rental home. I sent a text that we made it before hoping out to go get a sleepy meadow out of her car seat.

Sage came out to greet us. "Hello scar!"

"Hey sage! I'm sorry, meadow seems to be quite sleepy" I said lifting her up into my arms. She sleepy head resting on my shoulder.

"Oh that's alright, let me help you" Sage said picking up my purse and meadows diaper bag.

"Thank you, I think she didn't sleep good. So she may sleep a lot today. I'm sorry" I said feeling bad since the girls are supposed to play.

"Oh it's alright, indie has always been calm so she may like watching meadow sleep as she plays. Sorry that sounds creepy" Sage laughed.

We laughed as we walked inside the house. Indie popped out of a room and greeted me with a smile.

"Hi indie! I've missed that smile"

"Hi scarie! Is that your baby?" She asked standing on her tip toes to peek at meadow asleep on my shoulder.

"Yes this is little meadow, she's very very sleepy right now." I explained. She nodded and put her finger over her lips saying a quick "shhh" before running off.

"How cute" I whispered.

"Why don't I show you around? You can put meadow in indies play pen." Sage said, I agreed and following her to go lay meadow down.

Indie popped into the play pen and watched as I softly swaddled meadow in a blanket,
Laying her down on the playpen next to indie.
She starred at her curiously before looking up at us.

"Ok indie, mama and scarie are gonna tour the house. Do you want to stay and watch meadow?" Sage asked. Indie just nodded before starting to calmly play with her dolls.

"Hmm ok let's go! I'm excited to show you the house"

"Me too! It looks great so far!" I said as we made our way out what I believe is the living room.

"This place is beautiful, I'll have to bring all the boys over later" I said as we made our way back into the living room.

"Yes, I miss those little maniacs. But I'm excited to meet meadow" Sage said leaning over, looking at meadow peacefully sleeping.

I laughed before leaning down to push her paci back into her mouth. "Well let's just hope she doesn't sleep the whole time"

We sat down and talked as we watched the girls in the playpen. We catches up about everything since the last time we saw each other.

"Mama, can I have cookie pease?" Indie asked.

"Oh sure baby, I'll go get some. Would you like anything to drink?" Sage asked.

"Just some water would be fine"
I replied.

As I waited I heard meadow start to whine and rustle. I looked down to see her eyes opened and her hands breaking free of the blanket.

"Oh come here baby" I said leaning down and listing her into my lap. I laid her against my chest before pulling down my shirt and bra. "Want some milked honey?"

She latched on with a word and just hummed and she suckled. I helped her lay her legs more comfortably on the couch as I leaned against the side more to make sure both more comfortable.

Sage walks back in with a smile as well as everything she went to go get. "Aww is she awake?" She asked.

"Yes, she'll wake up more after she nurses for a little bit. I'm sure once she realizes there's cookies she'll wake up more too" I said chuckling.

We talked as meadow nursed. I pat her back and checked on her every once in a while to see if she was done.

After a while I felt her hand coming up and rubbing her mouth, accidentally grazing the top of my chest.

I peeked under the blanket to see that she was completely awake. she smiled and lifted her hand up to touch my face. "Well Good morning sleeping beauty. Did you have a good sleep?"
I asked as I slowly lifted her to sit up.

She rubbed her eyes some more before looking around at her surroundings. She stopped and stared at Sage "can you say hi baby?"

"Hi" she said in a shy tone, still sleepy.

"Hello little one! I'm sure your mommy told you. But I'm Sage and this is indie" Sage said pointing to herself and then to indie who's still playing in her playpen.

"Hi I meadow" meadow said happily after realizing she has a new friend to play with.

Indie waved and then held her dolls up. "Play?"

Meadow looked back at me, I nodded at her before putting her back into the play pen to play with Indie. We watched as they babbled with each other.

"How has work been?" Sage asked.

"Oh great! Working on a new magazine at the moment. It's quite fun. I love my job and my job as a mama" I said

"I feel you, I love being a mommy" she said before sipping some of her tea.

"Has meadow done well with daycare?" She asked setting her cup down.

"Oh yes she loves it! Her brothers always help her when she needs it. I think she really likes socializing after all those years of being alone" I said the last part a little more quiet.

Sage nodded with a sad smile. I've told her all about meadow. I'm very glad meadow has developed and grow so well, she's going into a strong little baby.

"I was thinking about doing take out tonight? I'm too tired to cook" Sage said causing me to laugh.

"Don't worry we don't mind at all, meadow loves Chinese food" I said.

"Chinese sounds great actually!" Sage said before getting onto her phone to start ordering.

"Mama amamamamama" meadow babbles holding her hands out to me.

"Come to mama" I said lifting her up into my lap, cuddling her close to me. She giggles as she cuddles against me.

"Mama hold me too!" Indie said to Sage making us both laugh.

"Ok we'll just have a big cuddle session" sage said holding indie with her as well.

Meadow babbled random things to me, I listened and rubbed her back. Sage turned on the tv for us so we can watch as we cuddle our babies.

"Did you have fun playing with indie?" I asked meadow. Indie looked up at meadow waiting for her response.

"Yea! Play dolls"

"You played with dolls?" I asked. She nodded before cuddling into my chest again. Indie gave a smile before cuddling with Sage again.

We watched tv until the doorbell rang. "Chinese?!" The girls asked excitedly

We laughed "yes Chinese!" Sage said.

"Chineseseeee!!"
