Felix's POV

"Baby, hand mama that box of oatmeal please" mama said to me, I grabbed the box and handed it to her so she could put it into the cart. Meadow was holding my other hand and just watching.

Mama, meadow, and I all went shopping together. We're having dinner with Martha and Shelly, so mama wanted to get more food and other things for the rest of the week.

"Mama can have jello?" Meadow asked pointing to the jello.

"Oh yes honey, which flavor do you want?" Mama leaned down and asked meadow.

"Stawberry" meadow said softly. Mama chuckles and ruffled her hair before grabbing the strawberry flavored jello.

"Bubba,. What flavor would you like?" She then asks me. I look around for my options. "Oh, the green one" I said. Mama smiled and grabbed it and some for our brothers before putting it into the cart.

"Ok little ones, come on" she said before moving the cart down the aisle. I still had meadows hand so we followed along. We show a few friends from daycare and said hi but continued to shop.

"Bruder, wook. Toys" meadow said excitedly pointing to the toy aisle. I looked at the toys then back to mama, not wouldn't hurt to look for a second. "Come on sissy, let's go look for a little bit"

Meadow and I walked over to the toy aisle and looked around. "Oh look, pretty doll" meadow said as she pointed. "Mhm, there's lots of dolls" I replied.

After a few minutes i decided to head back, but when we did. Mama was gone. She was gone.

"Oh no" I whispered in a slight panic.

"Where mama?" Meadow asked looking at me with tears threatening to fall.

"Oh, um it's ok. Mama still here, we have to find her. Like a game" I said trying to make it fun for meadow but I'm not sure if it's working. Her little lip is quivering and her face has worry on it.

"Come on" I said before pulling her along with me, we started looking down every aisle. Panick started to set in. I was worried,bi knew she wouldn't leave us. But what if someone took us.

"Bruder, I want mama" meadow said with tears running down her face.

"I-I know, we'll find her." I said not confident at all. I keep pulling her around, almost loosing hope until.

"Felix? Meadow?" A soft voice asked.

I turned around, I was relived. "Miss aurora!" I said in complete relief. Miss aurora is one of the owner volunteers at daycare, she brings her pet Mason over at the daycare so the littles came play with him.

"Felix honey, where's your mommy?" She asked as she walked over with concern written all over her face.

The tears just came out, I couldn't stop. "We, we wanted to look at the toys. Mommy was near by but when we went back she was gone!" I answered.

"Aw honey, it's ok I'm here." She said as she hugged both of us. She picked up meadow and put her on her hip as she held my hand and walked us towards the very front.

I sniffled as we walked over, I felt bad. It was my fault but I really missed mama. "Felix it's ok honey, I have your mommy's phone number. I'll call her" she said as she sat meadow down on the stores bench.

She told me to sit next to her so I listened. I watched her pull out her phone and dial a number, she put it up to her ear and looked back at us with a reassuring smile.

"Hey! Scarlett, I know i know. I found them. I just happened to be at the store....mhm ok, I'm at the front. We'll wait here" miss aurora said before hanging up the phone and putting it into her pocket.

"She'll be here soon babies it's ok" miss aurora asurred us as she sat down next to meadow, hugged meadow and then holding my hand.

After a few minutes of waiting mama finally pops back into view. "Meadow! Felix!" She called out to us with her arms wide open.

"Mama!" We both yelled before running into her arms.

"Oh my babies, I thought I lost you for forever. I've been looking everywhere for you." She said as she held us tightly.

"Why did you walk away? You know you're supposed to stick by my side at all times." She said sternly as she pulled back and looked at us.

I couldn't help but look at the ground in shame, I felt bad. I should've asked her to take us or just stayed. Now I'm crying and...I even made sissy cry.

"I'm..im sorry mama" I said. She hushed me quickly though "it's ok baby, I'm just glad you two are safe." She replied as she hugged us again.

After a few seconds she stood up and thanked miss aurora. "Thank you so much aurora, you saved me a heart attack" mama said.

Miss aurora laughed before replying "of course, I'm just glad I found them first and no one else did" she said as she ruffled my hair with her hand.

"Well I'll see you two at daycare soon, but I really need to get home to my puppy at home" she said before hugging mama and saying goodbyes.

"Ok you two. Stick by me, we're going to buy these groceries and get home. Mama is too worked up to do anything else right now"  mama said as she sadly smiled down at us.

I could tell we really scared her, I just hope I can make it up to her soon.

Everett's POV

Scarlett called us earlier in a panick, saying meadow and Felix wondered off and she can't find them. Thankfully she told us she was able to find them and they're almost home.

"I hope they're ok" Maverick said as he leaned more into my side. Both Elijah and Cyrus are asleep in the playroom, they seemed tired and cranky so we made them take another nap.

"It's gonna be ok, I'm sure everything's fine" I assured him.

Soon Scarlett and the babies walked through the door. Felix ran up and hugged me tightly,no could tell he's been crying.
Meadow running up and climbing into her dada's arms.

I looked up to see Scarlett warn out, tired.
"Go hug your dada" I told Felix. He went and did so as I hugged Scarlett, she relaxed in my arms.
"It's ok mamas, everything's ok now. Why don't you just go relax in bed" I said.

"Are you sure?" She asked

"Yes honey, you deserve to rest. We'll take care of the little ones the rest of the day" I said giving her a look, a you have to and there's no way out look.

"Ok, what about the groceries?" She asked. I assured her that we would get everything in that she needs to go rest right now.

She kisses Felix and meadow on the head before walking up the stairs. I took Felix's hand and lead him to the living room with Maverick and meadow behind me.

I sat down with Felix in my lap, Maverick with meadow in his lap. Felix looked up at me with guilt in his eyes.

"What's wrong bubba?" I asked

He looked down as he played with his fingers before looking back up at me "am I in trouble?" He asked.

I sighed as I ran my finger over his cheek. "No baby, you're not in trouble. Although you know not to wonder off by yourself, I know your sorry and you had a rough time. You're not in trouble bubba" I reassured him.

He smiled and laid his head on my shoulder completely relaxing into my body. I rubbed his back and the back of his head.

"I love you daddy"

"I love you too bubbas"
