Narrators POV

Scarlett, Everett, and Maverick were woken up by a loud cough over the monitor. Scarlett grabbed the iPad to look through the cameras to see which baby it was.

Her heart sunk when it wasn't one..but two.
"It's Elijah and meadow" she said. Both babies almost instantly started crying and coughing.

"Oh boy" Everett said as he jumped out of bed and put a pair of sweatpants on. Maverick jumped up and did the same as Scarlett threw on shorts and one of mavericks t-shirts.

"How did they both get sick at the same time?" Maverick asked as they walked out of their overdose dark bedroom and downstairs the littles nursery.

"They had a playdate with the marten girls. They must've been sick." Scarlett said as she opened the door. Her heart sunk even further at the sight of both her babies eyes puffy, face red, and snot dripping from their noses.

"Maverick, can you go to the kitchen and get them water. They aren't gonna like this medicine." Scarlett said, mavericks eyes widen as the last reaction the boys had to the medicine. Last time both men had to hold down Felix.

"Ok, be right back" he said as he shot out the nursery.

"I'll grab the thermometer, we need to check both of them. Elijah is burning up." Scarlett said as she held her to Elijah's forehead. He cried as he reached up for his mommy, he wanted to be held and feel her warmth.

"Mama, mama" he called. Scarlett made a sad face as came back with the thermometer. she pulled him up and sat down while holding him.

"Ok open up for mommy, you have to hold it in." Scarlett told him as she held it in his mouth. Everett held a crying meadow in his arms as she rocked back and forth. Her little coughs and cries broke his heart.

"I'm back" Maverick said as he entered the room with bottles full of water. He also had ice packs for the heads.

Both Maverick and Everett's head turned at the sound of the thermometer beeping. Scarlett held it up to read it only to look up at the men with a sad face. "It's 103.5, that's bad." Scarlett said.

"Ok, let's check meadow really quick before making a decision." Maverick said as he set the stuff down and took the thermometer from Scarlett's hand to go clean it.

"Meadows burning up as well, we're gonna have to call Jonas." Everett said as he sat down with meadow as he combed her hand through her hair. Maverick soon came back with a sanitized thermometer.

They stuck it in meadows mouth and waited. It deeper, Everett read it only to instantly grab his phone. "It's 103,3. We need Jonas to come over immediately" he said before handing meadow over to Maverick.

Maverick held tightly to the little girl as he watch Scarlett with Elijah. He would take their sickness if he could, he hates to ever see his babies sick.

Everett dialed Jonas's phone number, Jonas is an old friend from college who still lives near by. Time from time they'll get together for a couple beers. He was worried he wouldn't pick up since it was 3am on the morning.

Jonas majored in medical, he is a great doctor and an amazing friend. He's been a littles doctor since he graduated college, he started his hospital with the help of his family and now he's very successful. Jonas has a wife and two pets of his own, even though they all barely see each other because of work. Jonas and his family are very close to Everett's family.

The phone picked up and a groan following with a "hello" went through the phone.

"Hey Jonas, I am so sorry to call you like this. Both of our youngest littles are incredibly sick with a fever of 103.5. Can you come over?" Everett asked through the phone.
