Hide and seek <3

Cyrus POV

I hated to see her cry, it made me so sad. I felt the need to hold her and protect her. She shouldn't ever feel the need to cry.

We watch as daddy carries her upstairs. I look at Felix who looks a little sad, he probably feels as if he was the reason. It's not his fault though. I believe she was happy as well but it's probably hard for her to show emotions.

"Brother it's not your fault" I say calmly before putting my hand on his shoulder

"I know, I just feel bad. What if I brought back bad memories.." he lowered his head

"I don't think so." We both look over to Shelly who just spoke kind of confused on what she seems

"I think she was happy to receive it, she once showed me all the pictures her mother drew. It was always of her or her dad. Sometimes some of meadows favorite things. So I think she was happy to see someone refill that kindness again." She continues while still looking at her toy with a distance look.

"I really hope she founds caregivers soon.." she pauses before looking up at us
"Mommy and I help her as much as we can but we know it's not enough. She really needs a family again. But of course.." she pauses again before playing with her toy

"She'll always be my sister."

I smiled at the words. Sister.
I would love to have a little sister. I think my brothers do too.

After playing a little bit more I start to get anxious, I was about to leave to go find Doe but there she was. Holding daddy's hand with puffy eyes. Daddy brought her back with juice box's for all of us too!

"Hey I got yall juices come here" he says

Once we all get our juices we head back to our spots. Doe sits between me and Felix again looking very happy to be sipping on a juice box

"Thank chu for the picture, I wike it." Her little voice is sweet

"You're welcome! But I sowwy for making you cry.." Felix said with some sadness in his voice.
I hate when my brothers are sad too.

"No, happy tears too" she said again causing both Felix and I to smile. After they give each other a hug we decided to play a board game between us three while Shelly and eli build their massive Lego tower.

After about an hour we got bored and decide to play a very serious game of hide and seek. By serious I mean serious. We take pride in our hiding spots.

Meadows POV

I was so excited to play hide and seek. Once we told the adults, they said that they would play too! I love when they play with us. It's so much fun!

Since there's so many of us they decided it would be a good idea to have a caregiver and little seek together. So Scarlett and Eli went first

I run up to Eli's nursery with a great idea. I could easily fit inside the toy chest that he had in there. I pulled out some stuffies and hide them in his closet so they wouldn't be suspicious of anything.

I heard footsteps and got worried, but it was just Maverick!

"Hey monkey, need help?" He asked. I nodded

He helped me inside the chest. He covered me with a blanket and put toys and stuffies on top of me. He's good at this! And then he put a thin piece of clothing in the crack in case it got stuck. He told me he went to hide in Eli's closet in case I needed help.

After a few more minutes I heard giggles and screams. Oh no! They got Shelly!!! They're close by!! I cover my mouth and slow my breathing

After a few more minutes I hear Everett talking. He must've been found! They walk closer to Eli's nursery
