Everett's POV

"This is one of the most ridiculous cases I've ever had to deal with" I said as I laid some paperwork down.

"Rett, it'll be over soon. You're so close" Maverick tried to calm me down as he rubbed my shoulders. Another perk about having your husband work for you is that you always have someone to relax you.

"I know, it's just ridiculous and it's been taking up lots of my time. I want to spend time with our little ones." I replied frustrated.

"I know, but today we get to pick them up today. So you'll get to spend more time with them." Maverick replied. I hummed in reply before continuing to read some paperwork. I jumped at my phone that started playing Cyrus's ringtone.

Maverick looked at me with a concerned look. It's not time to pick them up and when Cyrus calls it's usually something to worry about.

I answer it quickly putting it on speaker so both of us could hear. "Bubba, what's wrong?"

"Daddy, Elijah fell pretty hard. We won't stop crying, nothings broken but he's really not feeling good. You need to come get him right away" Cyrus basically cries through the phone.

I instantly stand up and start to get my things together, Maverick following right behind me. "Buddy we're on the way! Stay with your brother. We'll be there in 15 minutes." I replied.

"I hope he's ok, Scarlett's gonna go crazy when she hears about this." Maverick said as we basically speed walked to the van.

I sure hope he's ok.

Maverick and i basically run into the building, jaces head shots up from the doors slamming open. He's smiles and laughs.

"Woah boys, it's alright. He's ok i promise" he reassures us. I relax a little bit but I'm still worried.

"Come on he's back here with Cyrus. Felix is keeping meadow occupied in one of the playrooms. She cried when he brother got hurt" Jace says as he leads us down a hall.

"Our poor babies" Maverick whispers to me. I nodded as we continue to follow have u til we reached a room with a blue door. Jace opened it and let us in.

I saw Elijah curled up in indigos arms, he looked at me with red puffy eyes and tears running down his face. He lifted his arms up towards me, I instantly grabbed him out of indigos arms.

"Daddy I fell" is all he muttered before crying into my chest.

"I know baby, your brother told me everything. It's all ok baby, your daddies are here." I said. Maverick sat beside me and rubbed Elijah's legs as he talked to him.

"Cyrus are you ok?" I asked as I looked up at him.

"Yes, I was worried about him. I should've watched him better.." he said as he lowered his head. I scoffed before handing Elijah over to Maverick and having Cyrus sit in my lap.

"Cyrus, yes you're their older brother and the oldest. But that does not mean you have to watch them every second. That is why the caregivers are here. You don't need to worry every second. It's ok bubba" I said as I hugged him.

"Ok daddy" he said sadly but finally relaxed a little bit.

I looked up at Indio hinting I wanted some more explained. He smiled before speaking "ok she fell outside while playing, it was a pretty bad fall but the nurse said there's no breaks. So it may bruise a little but should be OK. He shouldn't run on it for a while" he explained.
