Mavericks POV

It's a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Scarlett, Everett , Elijah, and Cyrus have all gone out to the store and to the park.

Felix and meadow have stayed at home with me because they both didn't sleep good last night and wanted to nap longer today. So I'm just drinking coffee as I watch the news, yes I'm that old.

Work has been a lot lately, even in this new age and with the new laws the world is still hard. But it's better. It's healthier than it was in 2020, it's better.

Most of us are very happy with everything, there's only a few who "hate" the ways of our new world. But if my littles ones are safe and happy I don't care.

But of course there's still people who are breaking laws and suing each other, and of course we only work for who we believe is truly I the right.

As of now we're working on a case for a caregiver and his little. His wife cheated and was abusing their little behind his back. So as of right now he's taking us to court and came to us, which was a good idea. Everett and I can help him.

"Dada...da..dada" I heard meadow whining over the baby monitor. I set my coffee down and stood up to go get her. Once I made it to their nursery she bounced in her crib with a smile once she saw me.

"Hello babygirl, did you have a good nappie?" I asked. She nodded and made uppie hands. I reached in and picked her up, she wrapped her arms and legs around me giving me a big monkey hug.

"Ohhh what a big hug, aren't you sweet" I said as I walked her over to the changing table. She giggled as I laid her down before starting to play with a toy that was on the changing table.

"Dada I wan berries" she says after taking her paci out of her mouth. "Ok baby, we go get berries" I said as I strapped her new diaper back on. I lifted her up making swooshing sounds making her laugh.

"Oh where bruhder?" She asks

"Brother is still sleepying babygirl, he really tired" I replied as I started to walk down the stairs.

"Ooohh sleepy" she mutters. I chuckled as I pulled my buzzing phone out of my back pocket.

"Oh it's mommy look" I said showing meadow my phone. She smiles and does happy bounces in my arms making me laugh more as I answered the phone.

"Hey darling"

Scarlett~ "hi! I was just calling to ask if yall wanted us to pick up Chinese for tonight."

"Hey for you want some Chinese food?" I asked meadow. Her face lights up and she throws her hands in the air. "CHINESESE" she said.

Scarlett laughed through the phone with me. "Well darling I think you have your answer" I said.

Scarlett ~ "ok loves we'll bring home your favorite ok! Bye love you"

"Love you" I said before hanging up the phone and putting it in my back pocket. I set meadow down in her play in in the living room. I turned on doc mcstuffins before heading into the kitchen.

I pulled out some strawberries, blue berries, and some pineapple out of the fridge. I cut them up and put them in a bowl before grabbing a drink for me and heading back into the living room.

I found meadow staring at the tv as she sits in her playpen "here babydoll, be careful ok?" I said as I leaned down and heading her the fruit.

I sat down on the couch as I watched her munch away on her snack. I pulled out my computer and worked on some plans and answering a few emails, I was pulled away from my thoughts by a little hand tap my key board.

"Princess, what are you doing out of your playpen?" I asked confused as I put my computer to the side.

"Uppie" is all she said as she lifted her arms into the air towards me. I picked her up and sat her I my lap, she wrap her body tightly around mine and let out a relaxing sigh.

"Oh you just wanted uppies huh, just wants to be held" I said as I rubbed her back. She's been quite close to everyone lately. She'll even hold onto her brothers as they play or as they're sitting down. It's very cute.

Cyrus will even try to carry her but he can't always depending on his mindset. It's sweet how close she wants to be and all of us are ok with that.

"Why have you been so cuddly hmm?" I asked her.

"Don't knows" she replied

"Hmm such a cuddly monkey" I said as I tickled her sides. She giggled before going back to relaxing into my arms.

"Dada...dada" Felix's voice rang through the monitor.

"Bruder!" Meadow squealed excitedly. I chuckled as I stood up with her still In my arms "let's go get big brother ok" I said. She nodded so I made my way up the stairs and to the boys room.

We walked in to find Felix rubbing his eyes as he plays with toys in his floor. "Hey bubba, did you have a good nap?" I asked as I set meadow on the floor. He nodded as he watched her crawl towards him.

"Bruder" meadow said as he put her hand on his head even though it was still hard for her to reach when he was sitting on his knees.

"Sissy" he replied as he put his hand on her head as well. She giggled before turning to look back at me. I smiled before walking over and sitting down with the both of them.

"Oh, you have your action figures and legos out. Why don't we build a city and play superhero" I suggested. Both their faces light up as they screamed and squealed.

"Ok ok inside voices you crazy monkeys" I said as I watched them scramble to build.

"Dada I build pink house" meadow said

"Ok baby, bubba why don't you build a house in your favorite color and I'll build one in mine" I said as I looked from meadow to felix

"Ok dada, mama and daddy come home?" He asked.

"Yes and they'll bring Chinese food ok?" He giggled excitedly making me laugh again. My kids are crazy and I love it, reminds me of their mama...

But we won't tell her I said that.
