A/N This time the time skip was purposeful. Sorry peeps :)

Also I had some storage thing happen that I had to fix

But anyway

It's been almost two months since it happened. I don't remember much of the passing time. Alyssa's funeral was a blur.

Nick was on my couch when I got home from the store. I shrieked, forgetting I had given him my key.

"Sorry!" He said quickly. "Walking in to a guy in your living room is probably pretty traumatizing now."

"No, no," I assured him, "It's okay. I'm glad you're here."

"Yeah?" He paused.

"I needed to get away, and I thought I'd come here. I didn't realize you weren't home, so I guess I just... waited for you."

"I bet it's nice to be in an empty house for once, huh?" I smiled, unpacking my groceries.

"Oh, of course it is," he smiled. "Oh– do you need help bringing stuff in?"

I shook my head. "I got it all. You can help unpack though."

He hesitated, then nodded and we finished it twice as fast.

Sighing, I looked at him from across the table. He gave me his best "playful smile". "We need to move on," he said. He was right. At this point, I was numb, traumatized, and he probably was too. He was the only one who made me truly happy at this point.

Suddenly, he rushed around the table and grabbed me by the waist. I gasped and laughed as he pulled me up over his head and leaped onto the couch with me.

For a moment, we just laid there. But when we came to our senses we kissed, and we kissed and we kissed, and we didn't stop until my doorbell rang. Just once, that is, so it was probably some salesman or something.

"I'll get it," I muttered, grunting as I got up and went to the door.

Troy.

"Hey. You're really pretty in that dress."

"Bug off," I scoffed. He smirked at me. "Aw, don't play hard to get! Come on, let's go to the bakery. My treat."

I could tell he was trying to be kind. "Thanks, but I'm busy right now."

His face fell, sort of. I could tell he was trying to not show his disappointment. "Busy doing what?"

"Busy with me," Nick said from behind me. "Who are you?"

"Hey, man! I'm Troy, Liv's friend from out of town." He smiled politely. He was taller than Nick, but seemed less confident. "Nice to meet you!"

"I'm Nick, Olivia's boyfriend," he replied, smiling. I'm not sure if he noticed how Troy's expression changed a little. I couldn't read it.

I felt a little relief, but I wasn't sure if it was because Nick was here or because it seemed Troy really had changed from the... last time I saw him.

"So, where'r we going?" I perked up.

"Mouthcloud, remember?" Troy asked me, and linked my arm in his. I grinned and gestured for Nick to follow. He huffed, sticking his hands in his pockets, but left a slight smile on his face.

When I slid into the backseat of the car with Nick by me, I noticed a girl in the front seat. "Hi, I'm Brittany! I'm Troy's girlfriend."

I smiled, shaking her hand. Okay, good, I thought, I was only being delusional to think he was flirting with me. Obviously, he only wanted to be friends again. I let out a sigh of relief.
