I stayed home the next day. I didn't want to see anyone. Especially Kendall and Erin. I talked to my dad on the phone for hours. And when school was on break I got a text.
'Boo hoo, afraid to come to school now? Check and mate.' It was from Erin. I rolled my eyes and fell back and sighed. I hate people.
'I just didn't feel like being beatin by you today :)' I sent back.
'Holy crap i didn't f ing beat you, and neither did Kendall.' She's so annoying and desperate.
'Okay whatever helps you sleep at night.' I sent back with no reply. I sent my conversation to Amanda before break was over. Just when I thought it was, I got a message from Kendall.
'You wanna know what it's like to be beat? Good you can find out.' Is what it read. Oh? Well then. I grabbed an apple and headed to the living room and watched TV for a while. At 4:15 I got another message from Erin. 'Be ready princess.' Is what she said. I told Amanda and Kaylee.
'What's that supposed to mean?' They asked. 'I have no idea!'
'Weird! Hey where were you today?' Amanda asked.
'I wasn't feeling great :/' I lied. I don't want people knowing about my dad yet. I don't want any unwanted attention.
'Sorry. Feel better.' They said. Next I got a text from Emmette.
'Hey.' Well exciting. I thought to myself. We talked for a while, then my brother and I watched a movie. After the movie I got a call from Emily.
"Where were you today! Do you know how hard it is to be at school without my mane bitch?" She asked before I could say hello.
"Emily, chill out."
"We promised to text eachother if we are staying home so the other can ditch-"
"Emily, it's my dad he has cancer, I just didn't want to see anyone today." I said a bit pissy.
"Oh! Savannah why didn't you tell me? I know what it's like! You know I love you." She said now sounding genuinely.
"I know but I didn't want to talk. I'm sorry. I love you too. Wanna sleep over?"
