I walk home, alone. I want to escape. Escape everything. Escape life. But I can't do that to my parents, and siblings- I guess not even to my friends. I sigh and kick a stone Infront of me. I take a shortcut, the same one I take almost everyday. I see kids laughing and playing on the play ground, that once brought joy to my eyes as well. I just couldn't be a normal teenager, could I? I can't sit around with the girls talking about boys anymore. I couldn't have a loving boyfriend. Who am I kidding? No one wanted to date me.
As I am lost in my thoughts I walk into something. No, someone. I look at his feet, they are men's shoes. My eyes trailed up, and my heart was racing. 'I'm next.' I kept thinking. But I'm soon calmed by a familiar face. Sam.
"Sam! You scared the crap out of me!" I say playfully hitting him in the shoulder.
"Sorry, I was walking this way for my bus and saw you were behind me so I waited for you." He laughed. He saw I was shaken up and I tried to look serious, but we ended up laughing it off. So we walked and talked about Sophia, but couldn't stay on the topic without getting depressed.
"Sooooo, who do you like!?" I poke Sam in the rib.
Ugh not this again." He laughs. Okay so I may have asked everyone I know who they liked a billion times. .. Give or take a few.
"Come on, tell Savannah! I don't get it I always have to convince you to tell me! I always end up finding out in the end." I try to convince. He laughed and looked at the ground.
"This girl." He says approaching his bus stop. I wait for his bus with him trying to get hints out of him. As his bus pulls up, he pulls out his transfer and steps on the bus. And right as the doors were closing he said:
"I like-" then the door closed and he shrugged his shoulders and waved goodbye. Lucky bastard. I continued to walk home after that.
