After we got out, the girls tanned, while the boys played frisbee. For the most part the boys and their hormones were being mature... Enough. Another half an hour goes by, and we decide to go get slushies at seven eleven. We walk through Alleys smart, I know. When we have our slushies, we go and sit on a park bench and talk and laugh about today.
"A perfect ending to a great day." Jade said back to her bubbly old self.
"I'd say." I smile sipping the last of my drink. We start home.
"Let's take the short cut, it will take maybe 10 minutes then." Emmette suggests.
"No, it's almost dark and that Alley way sketches the heck out of me." I protest.
"Savannah, we are here to protect you, remember? Come on, lets go." Sam says guiding me towards the Alley. Everyone else seemed to be fine with it so I let it slide.
I laughed at Sam wheeling me and Jade under his arms. Emmette and Kaylee are walking and talking together. Then there's James, holding hands with Amanda walking close together. I slip away from Sam and go nudge James.
"Thanks for making me come, I had a great day." I laugh and playfully push him.
"No problem, I wouldn't trade this day either." He said pushing me back. The three of us laughed and actually thought we had a good day, until we hear it.
BAM BAM.
And my perfect day came to an end.
