I hold up my cap and gown, grinning at it. Mine was blue, but some of them were green because those were our school colours.
"You ready?" Emily asks smiling and already accessorizing her cap and gown.
"Almost." I smile. I slip mine on, and then get ready for the first chapter in the rest of my life. My mom drives us to our high-school graduation, she could not be a more proud mother than she is today. Once we arrive I see Amanda and James standing, rocking and looking into eachothers eyes, and now laughing. They are so perfect, honestly I think they will never break up. Kaylee and Jade are spinning around like kids again, Jades smile could light up a whole town, and Kaylees eyes sparkled. It was good to see them like this. I felt hands around my waist and I look over my shoulder and smile at who I see.
"Hey Sam." I smile as he kissed my forehead.
"Hey now, lets keep it pg." Emmette steps in. I laugh at this. "Guys, picture time!" Kaylees mom says gathering the group together. Emily's boyfriend steps in as well. The four boys go in the back. Emmette, James, Sam then Emily's boyfriend Adam. Jade goes Infront of Emmette, Amanda obviously goes Infront of James, I went Infront of Sam, and Kaylee goes next to me. Emily with her boyfriend.
"Smile." We all smile, and it's the cutest picture ever. "Alright, could we get all the seniors in their lineup." Someone announces. We had practiced the day before in our lineups and alphabetical order. I was between a guy named Zac Tymchuck and Melissa Zeeds. I'm the second last person because of my last name. One by one they called our names it was so exciting.
"Sophia Dokkens." We clap as it goes down the line. I remember the first time I met Sophia, we met in a summer camp in middle school.
"Emmette Fraser." Emmette grins and we clap. I had known Emmette ever since Kindergarden.
"Kaylee Johnson." I make a 'woo.' Sound clapping. I met Kaylee in grade six, I remember not liking her, then hanging out and loving her. I laugh at this funny memory.
"James Kaden." Amanda glows at the sight of him walking by, and I grin at this. I've only known James since this year, but he's a great addition to the group.
"Sam Matthews." I look to his row of chairs and mouth 'yay Sam.' I have known Sam since grade six.
"Amanda Morely." 'Yeahh.' I yell. I met Amanda in grade six with Kaylee.
"Emily Rickman." She shines her smile bigger then ever. I do another 'wooo.' I remember meeting Emily in grade two in a girls bathroom.
"Jade summers." Her delicate self is lifted off the chair, and trots up to the podium. I have been friends with Jade since Kindergarden aswell.
Finally my turn. "Savannah Woods." I stand up and smile as big as possible. Up to the podium left foot right foot, don't trip Infront of anyone. Mr. J gives me my certificate and shakes my hand. I step down and throw my hands in the air. 'Yeah baby!' And join the rest of the seniors. After everyone's names were called, the valedictorians were called up. Kaylee, being the brain, and so involved in the school she is, is one of them. A boy named Dustin, who she has a huge crush on is the other one.
"After our four years taking a journey together, it comes to an end. But no matter where you end up, you will have you're family from seadale high. Thank-you for creating the best four years of our lives." I zone in for the end of the speech. I'm so happy to leave this place, but it will be so hard leaving the group. Especially since what we had been through. Even if they don't remember Brian Higgs, it happened.
"Please move your tassel from right to left." Mrs. Russ speaks through the microphone. We did so.
"Congratulations 2012-2013 Seadale high seniors. You're officially, graduated." 'Woo's' and yells of joy are spread through the field.
'1........2.........3' my group counts and we jump up and throw our caps into the air.
After everything and all the celebrations and pictures were taken, the group was talking when Dustin came behind Kaylee.
"Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?" He says to Kaylee pulling her out of the group. A minute later she comes back blushing. "He asked me out." She squeals. They girls go crazy, but we are all happy.
