Huening Kai found himself in bed, doing nothing but stare at the roof with many thoughts racing through his head. His conversation with Wooyoung was hours ago but he couldn't help but still think about it. Should I listen to him...? No, who's he to dictate what I do with my relationship?? But he seemed serious when he said harm would be done... He groaned in frustration and sprung up from his bed. He grabbed a nearby jacket and some slippers, deciding that a night stroll could help clear his head. He left his room and took a peek into Taehyun's room to see what he was up to. He quickly giggled to himself seeing him faceplanted in a textbook taking a nap. He sprinted to the door before he accidentally wakes up his roommate.
He finally makes it out the dorm and walked to a nearby park he hadn't been to ever since his freshman year of college. It's almost nostalgic to see the tall trees, the slightly rusted benches, and the walk way of the park. He takes a walk around, going past trees and the playground. But suddenly, he hears a cold familiar voice.
"Didn't think I'd see you here, lost in thought huh?"
Kai swiftly turns around and as he expected, it was Wooyoung. He contemplated if he should just run and not bother to talk to him but he didn't have enough time to think it through as Wooyoung stepped closer.
"I figured there's still a lot to think about but I guess I asked a lot without giving much context, so I shall enlighten you," He stepped closer until he was a step away from the younger.
"That boyfriend of yours worked for the mafia with me, for a long time too," he explained. Kai was in a mix of disbelief and shock as he continued.
"And he left rather abruptly but I guess I see the reason he left standing right in front of me..."
"How could I take your word? For all I know you could be lying."
Wooyoung let out a dry laugh before he pulled out a crumpled photo from his pocket, handing it to the younger. Huening Kai took the photo hesitantly but his jaw dropped seeing the photo. It was a group of dangerous looking guys with Soobin and Wooyoung in the middle.
"Believe me now? Now as I was saying, Soobin didn't really leave clean, he was our leader after all. But since he left, pretty much bretraying us, he's become a pretty big target, with all the guys looking for any point of weakness. But once they find out about you, lets just say that you'd become a bigger target than him," Kai's breath hitches, he was unsure about everything before but now there's the fear of not just him getting hurt but Soobin too.
"I'll be on my way then, when you follow through meet me here and let me know," He walked off, leaving Kai alone with his thoughts once again. He sighed to himself but there was one thing that made it easier for him to pick a choice, and it was that Soobin never told him about the mafia. He felt slightly hurt that Soobin didn't trust him enough to tell him but at the same time he needs to worry about Wooyoung's threat. How am I supposed to face him...

He tries to use the sign of distrust as a way to make the break up easier but it still makes his heart heavy. The next day since they didn't have class, and on those days Soobin and Kai would text a lot but Kai barely texted him, which the older could already tell something was off by that alone.
After that day, it was time to head to class again but as Taehyun was walking with Kai, he noticed he seemed less bubbly than before.
"Hey you okay?" He nudges the younger.
He nods. "Yeah, I just stayed up late studying," Taehyun could tell that wasn't the truth but he didn't have time to question him as they entered class and had to go into their groups. Soobin already felt that something was off with his boyfriend but he still greeting him.
"Morning! did you sleep well?" He asked, trying to hold the younger's hand.
Kai immediately pulled his hand away and took his seat next to him, but this time with a bigger gap between them. "I guess, let's just work on our script."
Soobin frowned at his coldness but decided to not question it for now. "Okay..."
Throughout class, Soobin would make attempts to make small talk or show physical affection but every time he tried, he'd get very short, blunt responses and Kai would pull away. Everytime he asked if something was wrong, he'd always get the same response which was that he was tired. He wouldn't even make eye contact with him so by the end of class, he felt very saddened and hurt. After what felt like forever to Soobin, class finally ended but Kai quickly packed his things and rushed out the room. He didn't make it too far before he felt a hand on his wrist.
"Hueningie...did I do something wrong?"
Kai sighed as he finally figured that it came time to break up with his boyfriend. He looked up to face Soobin but he quickly regretted it. His eyes were full of so much love and concern for the younger. He tried to convince himself that breaking up with him was for the best but he couldn't do it. I can't do this...I can't bring myself to hurt him...
"If something's wrong you can tell me y'know, you don't have to push me away," Soobin says gently but he notices Huening Kai tear up.
"I'm sorry Binnie...I shouldn't have pushed you away, I can't lose you I love you too much to continue to be distant," After Kai finished talking, a tear glided down his cheek and Soobin gently pulled the younger closer, wiping his tear with his thumb.
"I'm not going anywhere Hueningie just tell me what happened ok? I don't want you to struggle by yourself, you have me and I love you so much," He wrapped him arms around Huening Kai, he returned the embrace but for the first time in a while, he felt calm and not stressed.
"Can we find somewhere to sit? I'll explain everything,"
