The next day came and the older members made it to class early like usual. But Soobin looks in a worse condition than he did the day before. His hair was slightly messy and he was starting to get eye bags, making it obvious he hadn't slept well the night before. Beomgyu was peacefully taking a nap to clock in a couple more minutes of sleep but Yeonjun was mostly worried about Soobin. He was slightly assured since he talked to Kai the day before but he was still worried since Soobin looked like an absolute mess. He pat his shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey, you doing okay?" Soobin was staring into the distance but the older broke his trance and he looked at him.

"Could be better," he joked but Yeonjun didn't find it too funny.

"Don't worry, I'm sure stuff with Hueningie will work out, you guys are close no?"

"Yeah, but I can't help it...He's like something you wanna keep close and never let go,"

"My god you're such a simp for that boy..." Soobin was about to speak up, pretty offended, but right as he was about to the two younger members walked in to take their seat in front of them as usual.

Soobin looked at Huening Kai like a sad puppy desperate for attention as he waved at him, hoping to be acknowledged. To his surprise, the younger waved back and that was enough to make his mood skyrocket to a great one and even better, he was walking up to him.

"Hey, can we talk after class?" Kai asked sheepishly.

The older nodded eagerly and he struggled to collect his word. "I-yeah-of course,"

The younger let out a small chuckle as he took his seat, already starting to feel nervous. He already prepared what he was gonna say to the older but he kept on second guessing everything and he was trying hard to not chicken out since that would make Yeonjun upset. He took a deep breath as the lecture began not too long after.

Yet another uneventful lecture passed by then it came time for Kai to talk things out with Soobin. He told Taehyun to leave without him since he has to talk with he older. While Yeonjun and Beomgyu were hyping up Soobin and comforting him. Most of the students left, including their three friends, leaving Soobin and Kai as one of the few people in class. The younger approached the older.

"Let's go to the food court, we can talk there." The older nodded as they made their way to the food court. An awkward silence fell upon them as they made their way over but they were both trying their best to not make things more awkward than it already was. At last, they made it an sat at a more secluded part of the food court.

They sat in silence for a bit before Huening Kai spoke up. "I want to say that...I'm sorry for avoiding you these past few days, it was childish of me to do but it was what I could think to deal with what I felt."

The older shook his head. "It's okay, but if you don't mind me asking, what were you feeling? Did I do something wrong?"

Kai immediately shook his head. "No no, It's just that..." He trailed off, trying to figure out how to say the rest. He took a deep breath before starting again.

"Remember our group lunch?" The older gave a small nod.

"We didn't talk that much that day and you mostly talked to Beomgyu, so I felt kinda hurt since I couldn't even start a conversation with you. It sounds kinda stupid but...I felt less important to you, since I thought we were pretty close but I started to think otherwise."

Kai anxiously put his hands on his lap, nervous on how the older would respond. But suddenly he felt a warm hand on top of his.

"You're not stupid Kai. I'm sorry for not talking to you and making you feel that way. But I want you to know that you are important to me, very. And you didn't misunderstand anything since I think we're pretty close too," He explained in a gentle tone.

"You shouldn't have to apologize, you didn't know and I'm sorry for not telling you sooner,"

"I just wanted things to return to how they were, I missed talking to you, y'know?" The older let out a small smile as he stood up, going closer to the younger and opening his arms. Kai chuckled as he stood up, giving him a hug to which Soobin did not hesitate to return.

"No more avoiding me anymore okay? If you have an issue please talk to me about it, it makes me sad not talking to you,"

Kai lightly smiled as he nodded. "Okay, I'm sorry again for everything,"

"It's okay, as long as we're talking now," He responded resting his head on the younger. It was enough for the younger to feel flustered but he was trying his best to not make it obvious since they just made up.

Eventually, they break the hug, very content with the outcome of their talk.

"Want me to walk to to your dorm?" Kai smiled as he gave a nod.

They begin to walk but this time, the awkwardness that they had walking to the food court was completely gone and it became a more comfortable silence.

"Did you hear that Professor  is gonna assign a project soon?" The younger brought up.

The older groaned. "Really??? Do you know what kind of project it is??" Soobin asked, not very excited for more work on his plate.

"From what I heard from the other classes, its a group project, It's either making your own movie or writing your own script,"

Soobin raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "Group project?"

"Yeah, I think It's for either two or three people." That immediately gave the older an idea.

"Wanna be partners for that project?" He asked, looking at Kai with pleading eyes.

"Of course! How could I refuse if your looking at me like that." They both chuckled as they continue to walk in a comfortable silence. It wasn't before long that they made it to Kai's dorm.

"I'll see you tomorrow Soobin," Kai smiled at him as he waved, beginning to walk to his dorm.

"See you in class Hueningie!" The older quickly yelled out before Kai walked into the building. Hearing that nickname never failed to make Kai smile, especially if it's from Soobin.

He quickly ran upstairs and made it to his dorm, where he was greeted by his roommate.

"How did it go?"

"Amazing, couldn't have gone better," he said happily as a took a seat next to Taehyun.

"Thank god, I got worried it would last the rest of the month for a second,"

The younger scoffed as he hit his shoulder. "No way, that's too long for anybody,"

Taehyun chuckled as he rubbed his shoulder. "I'm just teasing, but you should go catch up on homework because when Professor Kim drops the project on us, we'll hardly have time for other assignments,"

The younger took a moment and realized that his roommate was right, with the misunderstanding he was having trouble focusing on homework and keeping up to date. But now that he talked to Soobin, he felt better than ever and he felt prepared to work on the piles of homework he had to do. He quickly stood up from the couch and began to walk to his room.

"Thanks for reminding me! Wish me luck!" He yelled out before going into his room.

Taehyun yelled at a sign as he watched him go off.

Damn, he seems so happy...
