New Addition to the Flock

Chapter 6

Hiya! Thank you for reading, the flock is going to camp yay :) Next chapter will be extra long. Hope you guys enjoy. Ugh! I just finished Doomsday episode of Doctor Who and i'm emotionally compromised. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback.

Max's POV

I woke up the next morning to yelling. Great, I love being woken up by screaming, note the sarcasm. I shot up from the uncomfortable cave floor to see the flock all standing around a sleeping and screaming Percy. He sounded like he was in so much pain. 

"Don't hurt her!" He screamed to nothing. Who was her?

"Annabeth! No!" Well I guess that's who. Who is Annabeth?

"Should we wake him up?" Nudge asks me, visibly nervous. Should you wake up people when they are having nightmares? I don't know. Is it like waking someone from sleep walking? So many things run through my head but, I nod yes.

"Ya let's wake him up." Iggy goes over to him and starts to shake him. It does nothing. Percy still thrashes, the screaming has died down thought to grunts of pain. 

"Percy! Wake up!" I yell at him, almost directly into his ear. He doesn't budge. I look at Fang with a 'can you help me out here?' look. 

Fang walks over to Percy, "Help! Their attacking!" Fang screams. For a moment I look around to see who was attacking. Then, I realize that he was saying this hoping to wake up Percy. Surprisingly, it works and Percy jumps up and reaches to his pant leg for pockets, but he has none. So, he starts to look around frantically. When he sees are worried and shocked faces he calms down and slumps against the cave wall. 

"Sorry..." His voice was sore. "I didn't mean to wake you." Even now he apologizes.

"What was that?!" Gazzy asks, rudely.

Percy's POV

"What was that?!" Gazzy almost screams. I guess he has the right to be curious on why I woke them up. I was probably screaming, I don't remember. I remember my dreams, their always of Tartarus and from when I was at The School, but I never remember or know what I'm doing like what others can hear while I'm sleeping and having a nightmare.

(Ugh I'm so out of it sorry guys, this is taking me ages to write. I keep getting distracted. Also have any of you heard 'In The End' by Black Veil Brides. This is my jam! *le me having small dance party *:P okay back to story...)

"Uh, nightmare." Duh, Percy. I'm pretty sure they got that.

"Are you okay?" Angel asks. She is such a cute and sweet little girl, the Aphrodite cabin would love and dote all over her. 

"Not really, but I'm fine for now." I say surprisingly honest. Normally, I just say ' I'm fine.' They all nod awkwardly. I decided to change the subject. 

"Are you guys ready to go to camp?" The flock seems to have split emotions. One one hand Gazzy, Iggy, and Nudge seemed beyond excited while the others looked nervous. 

"Yes! What do you do there? Is there games? Are there more kids? Are there Boys?" Those three blasted out questions, again you can guess who asked the last one. 

"Uh...." I don't know which one to answer. 

"Guys leave him alone." Max says slightly laughing. 

"It's fun, we have rock climbing with a twist and a bunch of other activities, but it's also a training camp, of sorts." I tell them more seriously. 

"What do you mean? I thought it was camp?" Gazzy asks confused.

"Well since were demigods, as I told you before we are hunted by monsters.So we train to survive." I tell them genuinely. 

"Well we can already fight so, we can help." Gazzy smiles. Nice kid I think. Maybe he is a demigod. 

"So where exactly is this camp?" Fang asks me.

"Long Island, New York. Do you guys know where we are? How long will it take us to get there?" I asks them hoping that they would know more than me about our location. 

"Max has a good sense of directions." Angel tells me, obliviously proud of Max for some reason.

"Well?" I look towards Max.

"I think we should head North." She seems confident enough in her decision, so I nod in agreement.

"Okay," I shrug."Why not? Let's go." I start running to the end of the cave and at the very last moment I jump out of the cave and into the air. I flap once, twice, then glide for a bit. Soon I'm followed by the flock as we glide through the clouds. I love this feeling, that of weightlessness. Ever since I have become human bird hybrid my entire body feels lighter. Max told me that my bones changed and I got air sacks, which I have no idea what those do so I'll ask Annabeth later. 

"Oh gods." I breathe to myself. Annabeth. I'm gonna see her again after about 5 months, and my mom. And, the rest of the camp. I don't know why this is the first time I'm thinking of this. Of course I missed them and thought about them , but they don't know I'm alive or where I am. They could think I'm dead. Thinking about this gives me more of a reason I fly much faster than I was. 

"Ahhhh!" I hear Nudge yell. I turn around to see erasers. So they found us. I dip lower towards the water and spray a column of water at them.

Max's POV

I see Percy Move, then the water erupts and aims itself at the erasers. Wow! That was awesome. Then one of the erasers zooms past me, this one seems to have better control of his wings then the others. It heads directly towards Percy.

"Watch out!" I call to him. I speed up to help but before I can interfere I see a wild scene play out in front of me.  

The eraser flies and catches up to Percy. Percy yells something along the lines of 'Dang it Riptide!'. Percy tries to fly faster than the eraser but it's determined. It catches up. Percy punches it. The eraser punches back. When Percy turns back from being hit the eraser lunges and bites down on Percy's neck. 

Haha Cliffhanger! I thought about continuing but where's the fun in that? XD
