New Addition to the Flock

chapter 8

Helloooo guys. Yay new chapter! Please tell me what you guys think so far? Sorry for all the time skips last time. Also because I am such a nice person (not really :P) If we can get 50 reviews by tomorrow  morning I will post the new chapter then, otherwise you guys will have to wait two days. Percy's POV

I hate ADHD.  Normally I can get along just fine with it, well fine enough. Any way since I'm so excited to see my family again My ADHD went in to overdrive. I am twitching and looking everywhere and even tapping my foot while I'm flying. 

"Uh, you okay?" Fang asks me as he looks over and sees me jumping around like a lunatic, oh is that a butterfly.. Ah! stop getting distracted. 

"Uh ya fine..just ADHD and experiment don't go well together." Just like oil and water from the lab experiment in 5th grade before I blew up the school bus. Focus Percy, I tell myself repeatedly.

"Well," I hear max call from the front and fly up more to catch up. "We are here. Where is this camp?" She looks toward me to guide. 

Perfect this is your time to bring it up. "Uh, well I was wondering if we could stop at my moms first, I haven't seen her and she'll be mad and worried and maybe she'll have cookies,and she's pregnant..." I stop rambling as they stare at me. "Uh we don't have to but." 

"Sure let's go mama's boy." Max smiles and I smile back as we soar over the city. After a while I start to recognize landmarks then I see our street. I swoop down into the ally behind the building. 

"This is it." I start to climb the stair case not even to see if the flock is coming, I can hear them as the follow me anyway. I run to my apartment door and knock.

"One sec, I'm coming." I hear my mom's voice and it almost brings tears to my eyes, oh mom. I hear unlocking the door on the other side. I'm jumping between my feet I'm so happy, as the flock stands confused behind me. 

"Hello, what can I d-...Percy!" She hugs me and I hug her back.

"Mom."  I hear her crying and realize I too have tears on my face.

"Your alive, oh gods your alive." She breathes into my chest, huh has she gotten shorter or have I grown? Then another thing I notice is her stomach. She's huge! oh that sounds rude. 

"Mom your, your..." she laughs, the laugh I always remember from when I was little.

"Fat, I know." She smiles as I become flustered trying to think of a way to say 'not fat' she did teach me manners when I was little believe it or not, I just didn't pay attention most of the time. 

"It's alright Percy."she smiled at me she still had tears streaming down her face. that's when she noticed the flock standing behind me. She smiled to them then to me, "Friends of yours?" I nod and she ushers them in. 

"Nice to meet you Mrs.Jackson."Max smiles at my mom.

"Oh, call me Sally. What are your names?" She asks them.

"I'm Max and this is Angel, Fang, Nudge, Gazzy, And Iggy." She points to them all in turn. 

"Mom," I hug her again then motion towards her stomach. "Do you know if it's a boy or girl?"

She shakes her head, no. "We want it to be a surprise." She rubs her hand over her belly. 

"Where were you Percy?" Her voice was wavering. 

"After I found out about, Tart-" she stops her self knowing I don't like to be remembered of it. "After I found out about what happened there. I don't think I could take anymore. What happened?" She was crying into my shoulder now. 

"Nothing I'm fine." I lie. I was tortured and then given wings, even Heracles wouldn't count that as nothing. I look at the flock over my moms shoulder and put a finger to my lips telling them not to mention anything. I see them nod. 

Then my mom hits me. Not hard, and on my arm at that but still she is NEVER violent. "How dare you sacrifice your self like you did it has been 6 months!" She's refereeing to the morning the scientist took me in exchange for my mom.

"Mom, you know I couldn't let them take you." She just sighs. That's when we hear the door unlocking from the outside. We all look at it and me and the flock get into fighting stances. 

"Honey, I got you the -" Paul walks in to see 5 kids in fighting stances, me staring and smiling, and his very pregnant wife in tears. 

"Percy!"Paul hugged Percy. 

"Hi Paul." Percy hugged him back.

....

Time skip to next morning

....

We got up the next morning to the smell of my mom's amazing pancakes. The boys of the flock slept in my room while the girls are in the guest room, so after we got everyone up we all gathered in the kitchen to eat. I took the first one right of the plate drowned it in syrup and shoved it in my mouth. I have always eaten a lot but now the whole bird thing I eat even more. Max stared at the pancake that is on her plate. 

"That is blue." I nod not answering because my mouth is full of pancakes. The flock stared at them then Iggy shrugged and ate a bite of his. 

"Mmmmm im's mmmm mooood" Which in pancake talk roughly translates to 'Mmm It's good'. Soon everyone was stuffing their faces. When we all finished Max thanked my mom.

"That was great, Sally. Thank you." The whole flock thanked her then we all went to the front door.

"Your going to camp?" My mom asked, I nod and hug her. "Well good luck telling them your not dead, again." 

"Thank you, mom. I'll come visit soon. Love ya." I yell to her as we leave. 

"You guys ready?" I ask them as we head to the ally behind out house to take off.

They smile and we take off. We fly towards camp, oh gods I'm gonna see Annabeth. After 10 minutes of flying we land just outside the strawberry field. Then, we walk right by Thalia's tree and into camp. It's beautiful, I look around and smile. I see the Agro II is parked by the lake with a few Romans hanging around. 

"Hey who is there?" A familiar voice calls through the bushes to our right. 

Out steps the one and only...
