New Addition to the Flock

Chapter 14

Max's POV 

My eyes are blurry and only open in small slits. Even so, I try my hardest to recognize my surroundings.  But, alas I cannot. When I finally get my eyes to completely open I realize I am in a small dark room room that smells of mildew and only has one small bared window on the other side. Then I notice another figure on the other side. He is a man in some shiny green shirt and some gray sweat pants, so most likely not a scientist. He is wearing a small blood red hat on his head, one that looks like it is more suitable to fit a child or even a baby than a grown man. 

"Wha-" I'm still to drozy to even make out words and vision still isn't clear. He starts laughing as if I am the funniest joke he has ever seen. I'm so glad I could amuse him, I think sarcastically. I blink a few more times and shake my head to clear it out. I feel my ankles and wrists are bound to the wall behind me.

"Max max max." He says my name in between his fits of laughter. wow, this guy must be crazy. 

"Max?"The voice I first think is the mans I realize is angel's in my head.

"Angel! Are you okay? Do you know where we are?" I quickly think, while still staring at the crazy man who has now gone silent and is just starring at me. 

"Max their.. their gonna do something to me." Her voice is shaking even in my mind.

"What? What are they doing? Angel?"  

"Max, I'm scared." Her voice is so small it almost breaks me. I am starting to panic and can feel tears in my eyes.

"Angel, it's okay. I will find you-" I pause when I hear a quiet sobbing, I let the tears fall, damping my face. "Angel." I whisper out loud

"Goodbye, Max." She whispers one final time to me.

"Angel!" I scream both out loud and in my head and fall to the floor sobbing. Then the laughter of the man stops suddenly. I look up and almost scream he is right in front of me are noses are practically touching. I suck in and hold my breath as if waiting for something. He  slowly leans close to my ear and whispers in one of the most chilling voices I have ever heard. 

"Maxssss" His voice is chilling as he drags out my name like a snake. I look slightly down and notice what I thought earlier was a shiny green shirt is actually his scaly green skin.

"Let'sssss have ssssome fun." The he pulls back suddenly causing me to jump, at which he snorts. Slowly his mouth pulls up into a smile and all I can do is watch in horror as I see him like his lips with a forked snakes tongue. He trails a spiked nail down my my arm dragging a trail of blood behind it. Then, he lunges at me.

(Was that creepy? I don't know why, I am in a dark mood, sorry if that was too weird:P)

Percy's POV

We had arrived at camp an hour ago and had just defeated the ford of monsters that were surrounding camp. We are now in the big house discussing the missing Angel,Max and Fang. As well as how the scientist kidnapped them from inside camp, they couldn't have gotten through the barrier. Not only that but Hades is pissed off that Fang got kidnapped. 

"So, What do we do now?" Katie Asks the group. 

"Find them." I says confidently. 

"Uh huh, and how do you suppose we do that, Fish face?" Thalia and her hunters are here for a little while because of the threat. They do not like being here, let's just leave it at that. 

"Well, I you remember where you were, Percy. We could go back there to see if maybe they are still there or find a clue to where the have gone." Annabeth suggests. I shudder at the thought of going back there, they had tortured me there right now it's about equivalent as going back to the Tartarus but some things have to be done. I take a shaky breath but nod, it was the only clue we had. We soon dismissed and I go find the rest of the flock to tell them.

Time skip 

...

We have all gotten packed, and directions. Annabeth and the other non flying demigods are riding Pegasuses while we all are flying. 

"Hey Boss"  Blackjack says to me in my brain.

"Hey Blackjack"

"Why do these kids have wings? Like I heard rumors from Goldi, that new Pegasuses that you got wings but why are there more? Also did you bring me any doughnuts?"  I laugh a little, of course he asks for doughnuts.  I explain to him about the others. 

"Are you talking to that horse? And does it have wings?!" Gazzy shouts. I nod yes to both, and he starts asking questions on how that happened.

"That is so cool! Can I have one?" Blackjack snorts in disapproval at the 'can I have one'.

"I am not some toy kid." He snorts again.
