Right In The Feels - Poetry

I stood outside for what seemed an eternity,

Bareback as the chilled wind lashed me.

It flew over the east side of the hill, to the west

On that coast of the hill where I lived, I stood...

Watching it making its way to the ocean,

On the waves of the setting sun, night dawned.

I watched the timid, smooth watery silk,

My eyes touched... caressed the orange- gold liquid flesh.

Nature calms me when I think about you.

I looked up,

Staring at the moon-

Silver button on fiery sky of red

Knowing what was to come soon.

I sighed as I fell to the ground,

Thinking how it would all be over.

Crying loudly, but never a sound,

And how we would never be together.

You were older than I

It wasn't a problem

It wasn't even like that you see

We had a love that blossomed

What I want to say is...

I mean, it's so hard.

Although you were his,

We never broke apart.

A friendship,

That love so strong

To leave would be senseless

Yet to stay would be wrong.

*Sigh* don't take this the wrong way,

It's not what it seems

But to wish I never met you,

Would be just as a dream.

Because, we never fell out,

Argued, got fed up or lied.

But what this is about,

I'm saying goodbye.

It's dark now, and that's how it ends,
Still lying here with tears in my eyes.
Goodbyes are hard, and should never be said,
Its like killing something, that doesn't want to be dead.

And the thing about it all,

Though so solemnly true.

You'll be gone forever,

And forever I'll miss you.
