~Chapter 18~ Coffee w/ Sal

~Larry's Pov~

The sound of my alarm clock blaring loudly waking me up instantly as my tired eye's finally opened, i reached over turning it off, the only noise filling the room now was Travis's soft snoring.

I smiled looking down at him, sleeping so peacefully..it's an adorable sight to see, my hand brushing softly through his blond locks, leaning in as i gave him a quick kiss on his forehead.

i never would have thought someone like me would end up with someone like travis, it was hard for me to trust him at first due to what he had done to Sal a long time ago,...but even so sal did forgive him an so did everyone else, it confused me...it angered me to my core but as time went by, i noticed that I've been developing feelings for him. It sounds crazy yeah, but it's worth it.

Standing up from the bed as i finally decided to get ready to meet Sal for coffee, i reached for my jeans that was hanging off my gaming chair putting them on quickly, since it was a rainy day i might as well wear my famous red hoodie. Tossing it over my head with a rough pull, my hair accidentally getting cought in the zipper during the process.

Ugh the struggle with long hair,...gotta love that shit.

After getting my hair free i smoothed it out softly with my fingers, looking back down at travis giving him one last kiss before grabbing my key's and heading out the door to meet Sal.

Pulling in the parking lot finding a place to park, i turned off the ignition taking a deep breath...I'm not for sure how this conversation will go between Sal and me, i mean I'm still mad at him for abandoning y/n, but on the other hand he sounded determined to talk to me.

I could see Sal through the glass of the coffee shop, tapping his fingers against the table...i couldn't quite notice his expression behind his prosthetic, but he looked anxious...or possibly filled with regret?, anyway's it's time.

Opening the truck door, feeling slightly nervous for some reason..my thought's ran through my head like wildfire, what does he mean he made progress?, did he actually break up with Tanya?...or does he actual need help to come up with an idea of leaving her?.

Without noticing i had walked into the coffee shop, the bell ringing above the door pulled me back into reality...seeing Sal sitting in a booth holding a cup of hot chocolate I'm guessing, i walked over with my hands tucked in the front of my jean as the bottom of my boots tapped against the beautiful square tiles. Reaching the table sitting down across from him, giving him a slight glare.

"So, speak up, what did you wanna tell me?."

Sal looked at me, he could tell i was being serious, and i am...dead serious to be exact. The way he was gripping his cup seem's very...off?...that was until he finally spoke up.

"Look Larry,..i know you and the other's might be angry with me, but i wanna apologize, i was just-...it was hard to hear that y/n is actually pregnant."

I took a deep sigh, i mean he is right about that, it was a shocker...expecially finding out that Y/n and Travis are not cousins, but half siblings.

"Sal..it was a huge shock for all of us, but that doesn't give you the right to ignore y/n for about a month then suddenly text her out of nowhere!."

Sal groaned, gripping his hair tightly in frustration.

"I get that Larry!, i do but just listen to this, i finally had the courage to break up with Tanya!."

My eye's widened in shock,..so it was true?, he actually did it!?, i thought he was lying.

I suddenly slapped both my hands on the table making it shake, glaring at Sal once more..it felt intense. Maybe messing with him will make him open up more.

"I see,....and you think calling or texting will have her forgive you?, are you sure about that?."

Sal rubbed the back of his neck..chucking nervously, getting him so worked up is probably the best idea I've had all day.

"I-..i-...well umm,...m-maybe if she answers, i was thinking we could talk about it or something, you didn't have to put it that way man."

I smirked, letting out a small scuff, pulling my hands back as i crossed them against my chest.

"Well if you actually mean it, why don't you come to my place next week?, I'll invite Y/n over as well and some of the other's,...but I must warn you."

Sal hums, lifting the bottom of his prosthetic to take a quick sip from his hot chocolate, before placing it back down. I blinked in confusion.

"Well Travis is umm,..how do i put it..in his overprotective sibling mode, so watch it, and on another note, may i ask why you're drinking hot chocolate in the middle of summer?, isn't that a little weird?."

Sal just shrugged his shoulder's.

"Nah, plus you know i don't drink that stuff, how hard is that to believe?."

"Hey i get it, not judging here, calm yourself blue haired one."

The way Sal shook his head possibly means he is rolling his eye's at me at this moment, i swear this guy can get so mean if he wanted too.

Couple hours went by as me and Sal talked, it was clear to me that he want's to make things right with Y/n and as well be there for the baby, i must admit though as long as Y/n forgives him, i will too. Doesn't matter if he is my stepbrother, i am this baby's uncle and i will not stand by and watch anyone disrespect this unborn child, or the mother.

I looked at the time, it was 2:30 in the afternoon, my eyes shifted back to Sal, giving him a slight nod as i stood.

"I must head off now Sal, i promise Travis to take him shopping, he's been wanting to get a new sweatshirt."

"Oh i see, it's not a problem Larry, i completely understand."

I took a deep breath, placing my hand on his shoulder, giving it a tight squeeze.

"I'm counting on you to make things right, don't disappoint her, talk to her, let her know you are there for her. Understand?."

Sal nodded.

"I will, thanks Larry, for meeting me and listening on my behalf."

I hummed softly patting his shoulder before turning my heel, heading out the door, the bell ringing in my ear once more as i finally left the building, the sun shining behind some broken clouds as the rain slowly begins to clear.

Sal I'm hoping you'll do the right thing,...for your future family's sake.

Please don't let her down.
