I gaped at the dark and mysterious interior of DeLaLindleFawkes. A plump lady with excessive eyeliner and wearing a beautiful coral colored dress strutted over to me and asked,"I am Madame Fawkes. Are you here to buy a-" she pressed a button on the remote control that she was holding and the dark brightened with the illumination of thousands of colored lights. I gasped in amazement at the beautiful, some half-finished, dresses that hung on the opaque dome of the shop. Mdm Fawkes smiled kindly at me as I stuttered a yes. "Good," she said and brought me over to a couple of dresses hanging from a rack. "What are your favorite colors and how would you like your dress." I skimme through the thoughts in my mind and replied,"Grey and Black. And umm... Simple." Mdm Fawkes looked thoughtful for a while, then her face lit up in a smile. "I know just what to do for you." She gestured for me to wait here, then rushed into the dressing room and stayed there for a while.
I sat down on a velvet chair provided and thought about the dress that she would design for me.
After about 15 minutes, Mdm Fawkes bustled into the room and placed a sketchbook in front of me. There was a sketch of a beautiful long, floor length dress, simple but beautiful. I nodded and smiled,"It's perfect!" Mdm Fawkes smiled and asked,"When are you going to wear this dress?" I thought and replied,"In a week's time on Saturday, 7pm." She nodded and told me,"Be here by 3pm so I can prepare you for your event. Shoes, hair styling, makeup and jewelry will be provided. It will be about $2400 altogether." I paid her with the credit card as she reminded me of our meeting. I nodded but thought, if I show her my hair, she will know immediately who I am, but since everyone will know soon, it probably doesn't matter. Mdm Fawkes passed me a card to remind me of our meeting and dismissed me. I walked out DeLaLindleFawkes and ran back home.
I sat in bed and completed all my homework in a few hours. Soon, it was nighttime and I had dinner before taking a shower. I flung myself into bed and tossed and turned, thinking about all my problems. Tomorrow was Sunday, nothing to do.

The next day when I woke up, I sighed and freshened up. I went to my private library and picked out the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series. It was my favorite book series, after which came the Mortal Instruments, then Harry Potter. I wished I was Annabeth Chase. She had everything she needed; she was smoking hot, she had a wonderful boyfriend, she was popular and super smart, and don't forget, she's awesome at fighting. I really wish I was her, dealing with a. Few small monsters was no big deal. I retread the series in the penthouse while listening to music that I loved; like Timber and Lips are Movin'. I loved the songs by Taylor Swift too. Especially Bad Blood. Anyway, I just did random stuff till dinner time and gulped down some dinner before falling asleep.

The next day, I dreaded school. With prom coming up, the teasing was just gonna get worse. I bet Bryce is gonna ask Olivia to the dance. They probably slept together the whole weekend, hopefully they killed each other. I rushed down the road to school. I was really early but I didn't really care.
Sure enough, Bryce and Olivia arrived at school together in the a sleek black limo. Bryce must be really rich. Anyway, their necks and throats were covered with purple and green colored love bites. Bryce was wearing a low cut shirt, and I could see that the scratch marks that raked across his back. Probably Olivia's work. She totally ruined his back.
He gave her a light kiss and everyone gasped. Without realizing it, the whole school had stopped when Bryce and Olivia arrived. Bryce smirked and announced,"Me and Olivia are officially dating." Most of the guys were fuming, angry that he had stolen the prettiest girl at school. All the girls, except for me, were gossiping excitedly about the new couple. I rolled my eyes and continued to my first class.
My first period was History. Mrs Thomas said a few words which woke me up,"History will be canceled due to the dance classes that Mrs Peters will be conducting for Prom Night." Whoops and cheers could be heard from the students, but I just rolled my eyes. I had never tried dancing before. Everyone except for me was chattering  all the way to the ballroom where the whole school was gathered. Mrs Peters clapped her hands for silence and announced,"Everyone watch. We will have two students demonstrate the formal ballroom dance that you will all be doing on prom night. Who would like to volunteer?" Two hands shot up into the air, Olivia and Bryce. Mrs Peters beckoned them forward Bryce placed his hands on her hips and she placed one hand on his shoulder and one hand holding an imaginary gown.
They twirled around the ballroom gracefully leaning in closer to each other by the minute. True as pure love shone through Olivia's eyes as she stared up at Bryce. But Bryce looked...I don't know...hesitant. I pondered over this just as whoops and cheers erupted from the crowd of students.
Apparently, impatient for Bryce to make the move, Olivia had leaned forward and thrust her lips upon his. I suddenly felt a flare light up inside of me as I balled up my fists in anger. How dare she kiss him!! He didn't wanna kiss her. You could tell. He pushed her away immediately and I had noticed him looking hesitant before. I wanted to rip Olivia's head off her body. The only person who could do that to Bryce was me! The only person who was meant to be holding Bryce like that was me! He was meant to be kissing me-Wait! What am I thinking! Olivia loves Bruce what's my problem. I don't even like Bryce. Unless... I gasped. I realized it then and there. I was falling for the infamous jerk hottie who was dating the girl he most loved and they were perfectly happy. I rushed out of the room, mumbling an excuse to go to the toilet. I sobbed silently, tears streaming out.
Why was my life so messed up!! I was falling for a jerk, who hated me as I was totally ugly, and was already in a happy relationship. I must not let Bryce know this. The teasing from the students at school would be endless. I guess that I just have to see his reaction when he sees me on Prom Night. Hopefully my true self and reflection is not as ugly as my disguise!
