What?! Is this a cosmic joke that the world is playing on me? This was really not the time to party! I sighed exasperatedly. Dad would never in his life allow me to go to such a teenage party. I suddenly felt annoyed with him. He's holding me back! I can't have a free and wonderful life of a normal teenager. Sleep with random guys everyday, attend parties, drink till I can't even remember my name. I dumped the shopping bags in the boot of my Porsche, ducked under the roof of the car and slammed my foot on the pedal. I shot of like lightning into the dark city of London.
On the way to this place, 36 Kinick Drive, I studied the invitation. So, a random person just asked me to go to this random party full of random people in a random place. Definitely something a smart person like me would have avoided. However, the pressure of Mom, Bryce, Alice, Kelly, Amelia, the list goes on and on, crushed me like a grape. I couldn't waste my life like this. I sent a text to Dad: I'll be out tonight. Don't wait up. Feeling satisfied, I hit the gas and sped along the road to 36 Kinick Drive.
I parked outside the big mansion-like house. There were flashing lights. On the way to the party, I had already stopped for a quick change. A ruffled and folded black romper with a match of bangles and shin-high heeled-boots was the perfect thing for a rocking party. I pulled the pins out of my hair and let it fall down in waves. I poked a pair of sparkly dangling earrings into my ear holes and lined my eyelids with black eyeshadow and thick eyeliner. Checking the mirror, I muttered under my breath,'Here we go.' I strutted out of the car and slammed the door. People were partying like there was no tomorrow. Free drinks of wine, beer, whiskey and cocktails were served and passed around. I stalked through the walkway and into the house. Inside was a beautiful mess of chaos. Girls were dancing everywhere. While a group of people were making out and having sex in a corner. I wrinkled my nose at the smell of strong alcohol. Guys stared hungrily at me, but I turned my head and ignored them. I had more important things to attend to.
I finally found a guy who as not making out or carrying out inappropriate actions. I tapped him on the shoulder and asked politely,'Excuse me, but who is the host of this party?' The boy was cute. Just about a year or two older than me. He grinned a crooked smile, 'Well, I'm afraid I can't tell you that. But I can tell you something.' He grabbed my hands and pushed me onto a wall, pinning them above my head. He leaned forward and whispered in my ear. I stared into his green eyes, mumbling deliriously. He immediately leaned forward and pushed his lips against mine. His lips were soft and comforting. For that few minutes, I forgot all about Bryce and all my other problems. All that mattered was my tongue entangling itself with his, reaching for something beyond the other's throat. I felt his hands grapple my bottom, making me gasp suddenly. He chuckled against my lips. I felt his hands swiftly moving across my chest with a feather-like touch. He gripped my chest and squeezed it. My mouth shaped in a silent 'Oh,' breathing uncontrollably. I felt his hands take hold of the strap of my romper, sliding it off my shoulder...
'No! Stop!' I finally came to my senses and stared in horror at what I had just been doing. Eww. I shouted at him,'Leave me alone! How dare you!' I did something that shocked the life out of me. I stalked over and slapped him across the face, right to left, his cheeks reddening with a flush of blood.
'Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!' I apologized profusely. 'I... I don't know what came over me!' My voice was hysterical. Would he call the cops? Was I in trouble?
'Hey Ben! Looks like you got a feisty one! Why are you the lucky one, and not me!' A group of boys, the same age as Ben, strutted over. 'It was my fault, Josh. I was the one who kissed her. But only because you said that was the only way to get a girl if you want her!' Ben protested in his defense, ruffling a hand through his blond hair. I shook my head,'Who are you?' It was directed at the 'leader' of the approaching gang. The blue-eyed, black-haired boy smirked,'I thought you wanted to meet me. I heard Ben and you talking. The name's Joshua, call me Josh. I am the host of this marvelous party!'
