As Bella explained her past to Michael, they unknowingly were being watched. When Michael had left that morning, the guys paid someone to follow him and find out what he was doing. The fact the Michael actually left them early, made them upset. But hanging out with a nerd girl. Unacceptable. "Michael will be talked to but the girl will pay. I can't believe she thinks she has the right to even look at him much less talk to him." The "group" leader said. He was the one to let Michael become part of the popular crowd. He could make him a piece of trash just as easily.
When Bella had finished her past, Michael sat across from her, absorbing every detail of her life that she has just told him. He understood why she was so sad looking all the time but he couldn't believe what she had been put through. "She is so innocent" he thought. "What could such a beautiful girl like this do to deserve something so terrible as that?" After making another 40 minutes of conversation, Michael had to go. Bella nodded but decided to pull her very little confidence to the surface and asked him, "will I see you tomorrow?" "Absolutely" he responded so surly. When they said their goodbyes, Bella decision to stay just a little longer to quickly finish the little homework she had. After she completed her homework, she decided she would read some. After an hour, she thought she'd done enough reading for the day and decided to go home. She packed all of her materials together and headed out the library. Of course it was raining but that wasn't what surprised her. As she pulled her hood on, she was startled by a familiar voice. "I'm surprised a nerd girl like you hasn't figured out how to buy an umbrella yet" the voice laughed at her. The jocks. What were they doing here? She didn't take the time to try and figure it out. She began to walk quickly to her car but the jocks decided to park in between the library door and Bella's car. As she tried to walk by them, one of them cut her off as another got behind her. They surrounded her and made way for the group leader. Cory was his name? She didn't know. She never payed attention to them. "Do you understand that there is a reason you don't talk to us right?" He asked. " it's because you're not popular if that's not completely obvious. Bella tried to get away but one of them grabbed her hand and held them behind her back. All of a sudden, Cory slapped her. "That was for looking at Michael". Then, instead of back handing her again, he just punched her. "That was for thinking you were allowed to". Then he soccer punched her. Bella's body tried to curl up but the person holding her hands together was making sure she couldn't move. When he punched her again they let her fall to the ground. "That was for talking to him," he said viciously. Then he kicked her about 10 times in her head and stomach. "And that? That was for simply being alive " he said. After one last good kick to her stomach, Cory and the rest of the jocks piled into their cars and drove off. They left Bella in excruciating pain. She didn't need to go to the hospital but if she got hit one more time she would need to. She laid there in pain because she couldn't do anything else. The pain was unbearable. She tried to find her phone but the couldn't so she lay there and cried of the pain. All she could think was "let me die."

Michaels POV
Michael was the happiest he had truly been in ages. As he looked in his bag he realized he needed a book for class and that he saw in the library. He grabbed his keys and made a quick trip to the library. As he pulled into the parking lot, he spotted a familiar car. Bella's. As he looked closer he saw not only Bella's car, but Bella herself laying on the ground.
