Bella's POV
The TV was on but to Michael and Bella's surprise, they were talking to each other and laughing more than either of them had in a long time. But suddenly, Bella was so happy she had a full smile worn. As Michael looked over, he looked so content but also looked as if he was in a day as he just starred at her smile as if it were saving his life. To him it certainly felt like it was. "What are you staring at?" She asked him. She said it in a half laugh, but she looked at him like he was crazy. "You're beautiful " he blurted out. "Fuck! God dammit!" He said to himself as he turned to the opposite direction. She just laughed like he had just said a bad joke trying to impress her. "Ok" she laughed. "If you say so." Michael wondered why she didn't believe him. "I do." He replied a little more seriously. Bella turned to him, giving him a look very close to confusion and curiosity. But she didn't say anything. She just turned back to the TV. After a minute or two, the pain killers began to wear off. She made a small sound hoping not to make it obvious but Michael instantly recognized the look on her face. He went to get the bottle of pain medicine. When he came back, he set it next to the bottle of sleeping pills. "Thank you" she half smiled at him. She took one of each and soon dozed off. After he was positive she was deep asleep, we went upstairs to practice his guitar. He made sure the song he practiced wasn't a fast song, and that he didn't play too loudly.
He picked a song by A Boy And His Kite. ' Cover Your Tracks.' He had never played the song so of course he would be practicing it repeatedly for a couple days. He flipped to the song and began to practice the notes.
About two hours later, Bella woke up to a sound she thought was amazing. Michael was playing the guitar just a little louder than planned. It was just barely loud enough to hear, but Bella heard it. She made sure the pain killers were still in affect and began to get up. She walked to the stair case, grabbed the railing, and followed the sound, searching for its origin. After hearing the guitar playing the introduction a time or two, the entire song started to play. Suddenly she heard a voice begin to sing. She started to look a little more quickly and found the room. She pushed the door open just enough for her to see. And there he was, his hands playing his guitar. But Bella was mesmerized, not by the guitar, though he played it very well, but by his voice. It was the most amazing singing she had ever heard. She just watched him sing to his guitar playing and the drums being played on his iPod. She couldn't believe her eyes, or her ears for that matter. Then about 3/4's of the way through the song, he stopped he began to get up. Bella panicked and started to turn around but her arm hit the wall which, for one, hurt like hell, and two made a sound louder than expected. "Dam" she said under her breath. She tried to look for the stairs and go down the hall. But then she heard a door open behind her. She turned around, expecting an angry and upset Michael to be standing there. She was positive he was going to be mad at her for prying. But when she did turn around, the exact opposite of her expectations stood before. Not only did he have a small smile on his face, Bella realized when she was watching him practice, the only part of him she could see was his head, half of his guitar and then his knees and down. Michael had no shirt on, exposing his every muscle. From his arms to his chest to his abs. All absolutely perfect. But Bella looked down. "I'm so sorry. Please excuse me" she said. As she turned to go down the stairs, he interrupted her. "Was it that bad?" He joked. "Come in. Please." He said. "Are you sure?" She questioned. "It would be my pleasure to play for you" he grinned.
