Bella got home, well, Michael's home, and quickly brought the gifts inside. She brought most of the things inside but had to make two trips, which she didn't mind since she was at the house. When she got the bag inside, she realized she forgot to lock her car. She went outside but was surprised when she saw another car in the driveway. She knew it wasn't Michael's but she vaguely remembered the car from somewhere. Then a man stepped out of the car. A wave of emotion hit her like a train. Shock, pain that was both mental and physical, the slightest bit of anger, but mostly fear. This man was no stranger to Bella. He knew this man all too well. "Hello Bella," he said slyly. "Have you missed me. I know I've missed you. How could a man not miss his only daughter."
Bella screamed. "No! Getaway from me!" She tried to run away but her father had already caught her. "Leaving? So soon? The proper thing to do to would to invite me in." He pinned Bella's arm behind her back and pushed her into the house. After he locked the door, he slowly approached Bella, causing her emotions to get stronger by the second. He saw the look on her face. And answered her unasked question. "I did my time and found out who was the reason I went to jail." He said a little less jokingly. "Some little girl skipped school and decided to show the police men what her daddy did to her." He said as he looked at her menacingly. "Still have the scars sweetheart. I want to see them." He said as he got closer to her. He reached towards her shirt when she slapped his hand away. "Now that was your first mistake." He slapped her three times across her face. His ring made it feel like a whip. She grabbed her hair and threw her against the table. As she hit her head, she quickly managed to hit the button on the house phone to speed dial Michael. Then, she felt glass break on her forehead. The table she had her head on was glass and her father hit her head hard enough to make it break. The glass shattered and a couple of the shards cut her cheek, lip and forehead. She could feel the pain and knew exactly how many cuts she had; 7. But all she was focused on was escaping this demon that she knew as her father.Michael's POV
"Hello?" Michael asked as he answered his ringing phone. But he was cut of by the sound of glass breaking. 'What the hell?" He thought. He kept listening and he heard a scream. "Shut up bitch or you feel a pain worse than hell!" A voice said. He didn't know who it was but he knew it was a male. "Please" the other voice sobbed as it pleaded to the man. Michael had fear rush through his body when her heard the other voice. He recognized the voice as Bella's. He checked the caller ID. It was his house. "Oh my God " he said. He slammed on the gas, glad he was on a old road with no police officers. He made sure not to hang up as he sped to his house.
When he slammed on the breaks in his driveway way. He saw a car that he had never seen in his life, but he didn't take a second look as he ran to his house. He turned the door nob. "Fuck!" He said to himself. He knew he didn't have a key because Bella was always home. But with adrenaline and anger coursing through him, he slammed the door and to his surprise, it opened. Glass was everywhere. But as he took a closer look, he saw something that terrified him. Blood. He heard a scream from the living room and ran towards the direction it came. The scene that was laid out in front of him made his heart stop. It was Bella trying to crawl away as she was crying. The was a trail of blood coming from her arm and her face. He turned to see her attacker. He knew this man. Bella had shown him a picture of him once. "Get away from her!" He said it loudly enough to fill the entire house but the growl it was said scared Bella as she had never been before. The man looked at Michael with a look in his eyes that Michael had never seen before. But that wouldn't slow him down the least. Michael ran to Bella as her father was about to hit her. Michael caught his fist and hit Bella's father with his own hand. This was the beginning of the most important thing Michael had ever done.
