"DOCTOR! HELP ME!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. "DOCTOR! DON'T JUST STAND THERE HELP!"
I swore I heard him laughing at me.
"STOP YOUR LAUGHING AND GET THIS BLOKE OFF ME!" I shouted.
He, still laughing, grabbed the bloke, and pulled him off me. I sat on the ground, holding my head.
"What the bloody hell was that?!" I demanded an answer.
"H P Wilson. CEO. Dead." The Doctor informed me. I crawled over to him, and stared at the body.
"What killed him?" I wondered still staring at Wilson.
"I'm just going to take a wild guess and say it's the same thing that's staring at us right now through the hole in the ceiling. "
He pointed up to the mannequins that were watching us.
"Oh, well, that's nice to know." I stated.
The Doctor nodded, then grabbed my hand. "Run!" He shouted, pulling me down the corridor.
Just when I thought when had lost them, we saw a bunch at the end of the hall. They started crowding around the girl I met earlier, Rose.
The Doctor pulled me with him, and grabbed her hand too. "Run," he whispered to her.
We took off down the corridor again, and this time we headed for the lift. Unfortunately, one of their arms wanted to join us. It got stuck in the doors, and it just started wiggling about. The Doctor tried to start yanking it off, but with no progress, he gestured for me to help him.
We pulled the arm a couple of times together, and it popped off.
"You pulled his arm off." Rose told us, while the Doctor soniced it.
"Yep. Plastic." The Doctor waved the arm in front of her, causing me to smirk.
"Very clever. Nice trick!" Rose exclaimed. "Who were they then, students? Is this a student thing or what?"
"Why would they be students?" I asked her, frowning.
"I don't know."
"Well, you said it. Why students?"
"'Cos to get that many people dressed up and being silly, they got to be students."
"That makes sense. Well done." The Doctor complimented her.
"Thanks."
"They're not students." I informed her.
"Whoever they are, when Wilson finds them, he's going to call the police."
"Who's Wilson?" I asked shakily, already knowing the answer.
"Chief electrician."
"Wilson's dead." The Doctor told her bluntly, earning a slap and glare from me. You don't have to be kind, but at least have manners.
We headed out of the lift, and made our way to the back door. The Doctor opened the door for Rose and gave me a look that said: see? I have manners. I'm polite.
I rolled my eyes at him, while Rose stepped out. "That's just not funny! That's sick!" She complained about the Doctor's comment from earlier.
He ignored her and walked over to some of the controls outside, while I held the door open for him.
"Hold on then. Mind your eyes." I shielded my eyes as he opened the box with a spark and disabled the lift mechanism with his sonic screwdriver.
"I've had enough of this now." Rose warned. "Who are you two then? Who's that lot down there?" She looked frantically between the two of us, searching for answers. " I said, who are they?"
The Doctor sighed and turned to face her. "They're made of plastic. Living plastic creatures. They're being controlled by a relay device in the roof, which would be a great big problem if we didn't have this." He told her, holding up the bomb. He walked into the doorway " So, we're going to go up there and blow them up, and we might well die in the process, but don't worry about us. No, you go home. Go on. Go and have your lovely beans on toast. Don't tell anyone about this, because if you do, you'll get them killed."
Then he slammed the door in her face, so I slapped him. "Introduce yourself!" I scolded. He rolled his eyes, but still opened the door.
He only left the door open a crack, just enough for him to poke his head out, so couldn't see Rose. I just sat on the steps of the staircase, waiting for him.
"I'm the Doctor, by the way. What's your name?" I heard him say.
"Rose." She replied.
"Nice to meet you Rose. Run for your life!" He slammed the door again, and ran over to me. "Are you sure you want to do this? You could be killed."
"I would rather die actually living, than die old and gray, but never really living. Besides, we would be dying for a good cause right?"
He smirked at me, and darted up the steps to the roof. I turned around and followed him.
When I got up to the roof, he was standing there staring at the relay device.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yeah."
We headed toward the relay device, and began searching for the perfect place to put the bomb. We decided on a spot that was open right in the middle of the device. After the bomb was placed, we stepped back, and the Doctor pointed his sonic screwdriver at the bomb.
I winced at the bomb went off, sending me flying into the air.
