"Right then, Rose Tyler, you tell us. Where do you want to go? Backwards or forwards in time. It's your choice. What's it going to be?" The Doctor asked.
"Wait a minute!" I objected. "How come I don't get a choice?"
"That might end badly." The Doctor explained.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Whatever, I'm going to go get changed. Don't go anywhere!" I warned.
"You got changed before we found the bin!" The Doctor proclaimed.
"Well, I've got to look the part, don't I?" I laughed. He groaned, making me laugh more as I headed to my room.
The TARDIS took me straight to my room, and I automatically ran in and started shuffling though my clothes. I pulled on the shirt and shorts, pulled my hair into a ponytail, and slipped on some black combat boots.
I headed out just in time.
"How far?" The Doctor asked.
"One hundred years." She told him.
"Forwards?" I asked. The Doctor nodded and started up the Tardis.
"There you go. Step outside those doors, it's the twenty second century." The Doctor informed us.
"You're kidding." Rose scoffed.
"That's a bit boring, though. Do you want to go further?" The Doctor asked, looking at the two of us.
"Fine by me." I told him, sitting on the jump seat.
He started up the Tardis again. We landed in a few moments. "Ten thousand years in the future. Step outside, it's the year 12005, the new Roman Empire."
"You think you're so impressive." Rose rolled her eyes.
"I am so impressive." The Doctor proclaimed.
"You wish." I muttered.
"Right then, you asked for it. He glared at me, and I laughed. "I know exactly where to go. Hold on!"
The Tardis took off, and I clung to the railing next to the jump seat until my fingers turned white. It was a miracle when we landed.
"Where are we? What's out there?" Rose asked.
We opened the door and there was a marble room with a huge glass wall in front of us. Rose and I ran down the steps to get a closer look. Through the glass, we saw a huge orbital view of Earth.
"You lot, you spend all your time thinking about dying, like you're gonna get killed by eggs or beef or global warming or asteroids. But you never take time to imagine the impossible, that maybe you survive. This is the year five point five slash apple slash twenty six. Five billion years in your future, and this is the day." He stopped to look at his wrist watch. "Hold on." All of a sudden, the sun flared and turned red. "This is the day the Sun explodes. Welcome to the end of the world."
I stared out into space in awe. I, Jordyn Avery, was about to the end of the world. I somehow managed to drag myself away from the image, and I followed the Doctor and Rose down a corridor.
"Shuttles five and six now docking. Guests are reminded that Platform One forbids the use of weapons, teleportation and religion." It's a good thing I'm an atheist. I laughed at the thought. "Earth Death is scheduled for fifteen, thirty nine. Followed by drinks in the Machester Suite." A robotic voices finished telling us.
"So, when it says guests, does that mean people?" Rose wondered.
"Depends what you mean by people." The Doctor told her.
