I wake up the next day, with Katy gone. We leave today, actually in like 2 hours. Tamra is waiting for me, by my bags. I smile, and head over to the bathroom, to make myself somewhat presentable. After that, I head over to my bag, and pull out a beanie cap. San Francisco. My hometown. I put the beanie on my head, and look at Tamra for a second opinion. She nods her head and takes my bag closer to the door. She opens it, to be greeted by 2 men, one has Katy's bags, and I am assuming the other will take my bags. They are holding coffee cups, two of them. One for me, and one for Tam. I greet them, thank them, and walk into the hallway. I start my way down to the elevators, and wait for its doors to open. They open and we all walk in. One of the men pushes the L button, for the lobby floor. I fix myself with the reflective surface inside the elevator. I hear Tamra laugh at me. I mean all teenagers do this, it is really nothing out of the ordinary.
"Where is she?"
I watch her, as she takes a sip of coffee. Clearly ignoring my question, I ask one of the men.
"Excuse me, Where is Katy?"
An awfully young man turns to face me, as he turns I wonder how old he actually is. I raise and eyebrow as he looks at Tamra, and then back at me.
"She left early, there was a meeting with the whole crew." He turns back to face the elevator doors.
As the doors open, we all flood out into the surprisingly empty lobby. I was then waiting by the check out desk, waiting for Katy's men to get us out of here. I notice the older man walk away as he had gotten a phone call. Tamra was sitting on one of the couches, about 20 feet away.
"So how old are you?"
"20."
"Woah" I say in awe. "How did you land a job like this?"
"My uncle hooked me up."
This man is rather short. He is so cute. This guy is one of Katy's security??? And I have never met him? Katy is going to get a talking to.
"You look kinda beat up."
This is something you never ever say to a girl. Ever.
"Yeah, last night was rough."
He just nods his head in agreement. I look around and notice Tamra on the couch staring at me. Smiling and nodding her head. I laugh and turn away from the desk. I start walking towards her, while still watching her laugh.
"My name is Brayden."
I turn around to face him and flash him a smile.
"Alison".
He smiles widely and he is interrupted by the front desk clerk. He turns around to speak with them and finally I make my way to Tam.
"So I see you found Brayden." She laughs mischievously.
"More like he found me." I poke back at her.
"No funny business, Katy would kill you."
"Katy would kill him, not me." I shoot back.
"Ladies, the car is here." The older man says. Tamra picks up my bag and we walk over to the front doors.
Brayden opens the SUV door for us and we both get in.
We have about a 35 minutes drive to the airport so I close my eyes, and put in my earbuds. I click shuffle on my phone and curiously wait for a song to play. I adjust myself in the seat hoping to drift into a short snooze.
*Katys POV*
My whole crew is waiting on the plane. Now we are just waiting for some of my security, Tam and Ali. It was nerve wracking. Last night was the most intense night I've ever had. Alison's mom told her who her real mother was. Me. Alison took it well, but I feel like she hid it very well also. Isn't she supposed to be upset? Isn't she supposed to be mad at me? Why is she acting like this is no big deal?
I stand there waiting on the runway for my little girl. As I see two headlights approach I know my precious cargo has arrived. Pulling my light windbreaker off of my back, I hold it in my hands. The car drives up and I open the door, to find a sleeping Tamra, and Alison who is taking pictures of her sleeping."Shh don't wake her, I haven't got the money shot yet." She states as she clicks the button multiple times to get a burst of pictures.
She turns to me and unbuckles herself. I gently wrap my windbreaker around her shoulder, while I do so she steps out of the car. Braydon opens the door on Tamras side and she, wakes up annoyed. Same old self. I take Alison's hand and lead her to the jet stairs, and we slowly climb up them.
I saved two seats for us in the back. Away and secluded from everyone else. She sits down as I stuff her little bag under my seat. I see her open her window shade and peek out. I sit down next to her and grab her slick seat belt. I buckle it for her and then buckle my own. She glances up at me and smiles. Then something clicks in her eyes
"Can you hand me my bag?"
I reach beneath me and hand the bag to her. She pulls out a little white teddy bear. It's kind of messy. Cute button eyes and a pink nose, you can tell this has been relevant with the slight dirty fur. It's not as big as my teddy, but that was the point. She was just a baby back then. It was a big bear when she was months old.
"Is this from you?" She says
I stare at it in awe. She's had kept this for 18 years. And she still had it. I look over the tummy that has 'baby's first bear' in pink thread. I bring myself to smile and giggle to myself.
"Yes that is from me." I see her delicately brush over the bears head, and smile. It wasn't the fanciest thing in the world, yet it showed her that I loved her back then, and that I still love her now.
