Alisons POV
I wake up to people shuffling out of their seats to the exit of the plane. I look out the window to see airplane runways. I take notice into some crew walking into the actual airport building. I groan as I open my eyes fully. I stretch my arms and try and stand up, but the safety belt restricts me from doing so. I fiddle with the cold metal and release myself from the seat. I stand up and look around, did Katy already get off?
"Alison?" A voice calls from behind me and I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn my head around and see Leah, one of Katy's dancers, smiling at me.
"Hi, Leah." I reply and she looks surprised that I know her name. We haven't ever actually talked before, but I know who she is.
"Hi!" she says enthusiastically, "Katy had to go take care of some business unexpectedly. I told her I'd take you to the hotel and get you checked into your room!" Of course she's taking care of business. Does she ever take a break?!
"Okay, cool" I smile. Leah reaches down and grabs my bag before I even have a chance to, and she motions for me to walk ahead of her.
I gingerly climb down the plane stairs and onto the pavement. It feels good to be back on the ground after being in the air for such a long time. I follow the rest of the crew into the airport and we wait for our bags. Everyone looks tired, fighting to stay awake by playing games on their phones and checking Twitter. I pull out my phone too and see that Katy texted me:
Sorry I had to run! Won't be long. Don't worry, you're in good hands! See ya back at the hotel. XO
I lock my phone and slide it back in my pocket just as some men come up to us with our luggage. We all grab our bags and head out the sliding glass doors into the warm, night air. There's a row of six or eight black SUVs pulled up alongside the curb. The crew starts piling in them one at a time. I turn to Leah and she points to one towards the front, "That one's ours," she smiles. I wonder how she can even tell, they're all identical, but I don't question her. I open the door to the backseat and slide in.
"So have you ever been to Tokyo?" Leah asks as we start to move.
"No. I've never even been out of the country before." I reply, looking out the window. The millions of city lights flood through the windows and I'm in awe of the cities beauty, "Wow."
"Beautiful, isn't it? This is one of my favorite cities. Katy's too! I guarantee you'll leave here in love with it."
"Isn't this where that cat café is?" I asked, turning my attention away from the city lights and towards Leah.
She's applying a shade of red lipstick to her lips, using her iPhone camera as a mirror, "Yep!"
Suddenly we are stopped in front of this enormous building with a huge fountain in front, "Where are we?" I ask.
"This is the hotel," she replies as if we aren't staying the night in a place that looks like it's for royalty. A man opens my door and I climb out. Leah walks over to me, "Man, I'm tired" she yawns, "Let's go check into our rooms. I follow her into the hotel lobby where the rest of the crew is checking in.
One of the dancers comes up to us and hands Leah a couple keys, "These two are Katy's, these two are yours." He says before skipping off.
"Thanks!" Leah calls after him. She looks down at the keys to find the room numbers, "Hey! Looks like we're neighbors!" She exclaims, grabbing my hand and leading me to the glass elevator. We step inside and I notice all the bottom. 50 floors?! What floor are we on? Just as I'm about to ask Leah, she presses the button for level 50.
"Top floor, it's gonna be a great view!" She squeals.
"And a long ride." I add.
As we wait for the elevator to reach our destination we both pull out our phones. I personally check my Twitter and scroll into my timeline. Just before I click my home button there's a sudden stop in the elevator. I look at the floor numbers to see we have reached the top. The elevators open and Leah steps out first, I follow closely behind.
