Chapter 9

Alison's POV

I am very happy I get to spend my 18th birthday with Katy. I don't even really want a party, I just want to spend some time with Katy. Unfortunately, she is out doing something with her crew, either for costumes, or for the stage. I can't remember which one she told me. Currently, I am sitting in her lounge/dressing room. I find it hard to believe, that is it spotless. Someone must pick up after her. I look around the room, seeing all things "Chanel", even the tissue box. I see the dog, Butters sleeping on the couch. I pull out my phone and start playing Candy Crush to pass time. It's funny how "be right back" can turn into almost an hour. I have been sitting here bored out of my mind because Katy specifically told me to stay. Gosh, so demanding.

I check the clock again, and see its almost been an hour and a half. I look back at Butters still sound asleep. I have beaten about 5 levels on Candy Crush, but I am getting bored of it already. I hear a deep bass, and feel a vibration. There is no way she is rehearsing right now...

Katy's POV

I have to run through E.T, but Alison's waiting for me in the back. I feel bad now that I think I have been gone longer than I had planned. I told her not to leave, and I wonder if she had actually listened to me. I hope she can't hear the music from the lounge...

Alison's POV

I understand that this is her career, but she told me she would be right back, I say as I pull open the door. I walk out into the almost empty hallway and follow the sound of the music. I turn the corner and then I am pushed into what feels like a mosh pit. The hallway that was deserted, just turned into a sea of rushing people, holding lights, costumes, cameras, and stage props. I am taken back at how crowded this hall is. I seem to have figured out where the main stage area is. I just follow this huge crowd of people out of the hallway into the arena. There i see her on stage, with sweats on, and little to no makeup, singing and dancing to E.T. I look around to see that it was just Katy on stage, none of her dancers. It must be just a refresher for Katy or something. I look around to see a big group of people individually stretching and doing different dance moves. I then take notice of Tamra, sitting on one of the chairs on her phone. I take in the whole big scenery, with my mouth open, I see people dancing, people putting things together, people intensely watching Katy, and people just kinda minding their own business like me.

Katy ends E.T and then presses into her ear piece to get a better hear of what they are saying.

"Run through I kissed A girl? My friend is waiting for me out back" she says. I smile at her as if she could see me. She is looking in the other direction, facing the people who are actually talking to her. "But shes been waiting a while", she says with concern. "I'm tired" she says once more, but the band, starts playing, and at that moment she had no further choice. She starts the track, and I start heading over to Tamra.

"Hey kiddo, how ya been" she says. Do I tell her I've been so bored that I almost died from boredom, or do I lie and say I have been having the time of my life? The struggles.

"I'm okay, just a lil bored" I state, thinking if that was the right reply to say to her.

"Why, cause Katy ditched? Well she didn't ditch, she was pretty much ordered to. She almost always misses a few steps and notes in kissed a girl. Didn't she tell you not to leave?" she laughs as I had managed to break the only rule she gave me.

I laugh as well. "Well she left me in the lonely boring room, for almost two hours?! What else was i supposed to do?" I say, before adding "play with the sleeping dog?". She laughs for a moment, before she stops and puts on a solid stern face.

Before I could ask her what was wrong, I immediately knew. Katy was behind me. I could feel my palms about to sweat, I got red in the face, and I watched Tam leave me in the dust, quickly mumbling that she had to do something.
