"It wasn't a love marriage." I finally squeaked, defeated. Evelyn blinked at me. "It was arranged and I said yes because I don't know- personal reasons- I mean I know I said I'd never have an arranged marriage but I couldn't do anything about it- it was so out of the blue because of everything that was happening I just said yes I mean maybe I regret it a bit- but maybe it's not that bad I mean he's not an old man right? It's not like it's my fault though I was just doing what crossed my mind at that time and we didn't meet and I mean it's not like the most trusting relationship-" I took in a deep breath, next to Aaron Evelyn shook his head, his eyes slightly wide, but I continued to blabber everything out anyway.

"He won't even tell me his job- I know you were going to ask him what he works as and he wouldn't have told you anyway then you would have asked me and I don't know because he won't tell me- that's not my fault I'm a very trustable person but I didn't do it by purpose." Evelyn's monotone face was now replaced by a slightly worried expression.

"He wouldn't even let me go out the few days I don't know who he thought he was and he never sees his mom I mean what's up with that? I mean ok maybe that bit I can understand I don't exactly like my parents either but at least he could tell me why! He used to think he could push me around before- well not literally- ok maybe he pushed me once which was really stupid of him and it makes me question why I'm even with him still but that's the other problem-"

"That's enough." Evelyn finally interrupted. I glanced at him guiltily again. "Hazel you don't need to tell him your whole life story..." He muttered looking a little agitated, Aaron's eyes flickered back to Evelyn.

"What do you work as?" He asked quietly, Evelyn stared back at him.

"If I were to tell anyone it would most definitely not be you." He replied. Another silence.

"I hope you know how suspicious your making yourself look." Aaron's voice had dropped a little more, something I knew wasn't a good sign. Evelyn couldn't really deny that, Aaron's eyes narrowed only more.

"Well I guess you won't go back with him then." Aaron muttered pushing away his plate from himself. Evelyn blinked.

"Of course she will." He snapped.

"I think that a bit more up to me than it is to you two." I interrupted wearily. They both seemed to be too busy glaring at each other than acknowledging what I had said. Evelyn stood up.

"We're going." Evelyn said finally. I stared at him bemused. Aaron stood up his demeanour threatening.

"No you are not." I sighed and wandered over to the kitchen. This feud would probably take quite a while and I was still hungry. I glanced through deciding to ignore the 'conversation' Evelyn and Aaron were having. Much to my delight I found a large bag of Snaps, (a sort of crisp) and returned back to the dining room.

Aaron midsentence seemed to have stopped as if he had just seen something, before Evelyn or me had had time to react Aaron had slammed Evelyn back onto the wall and pulled a gun out from behind Evelyn's jacket. I blinked at the gun trying not to choke. Evelyn meanwhile let out a string of colourful words.

"A gun." Aaron hissed, Evelyn tried to push Aaron back off.

"A gun?" I frowned, not knowing anymore who's side I was on.

"I have a license for it- you have no right to do this." Evelyn's voice rose a little.

"He's the head of police over here." I informed Evelyn my eyes flickering between Aaron and Evelyn. "Aaron stop squashing Evelyn for God's sake." I grumbled, Aaron's eyes flickered towards me.

"You don't seem to care that this Evelyn has a gun in his possession?" I opened my mouth and closed it.

"Look I'm sure he has his reasons."
