Harrison's POV
My secretary barged into my office this morning looking like she just saw a ghost.
"Sir,tune in to the news channel now".
"Rachael i remember leaving precise instructions that i do not wish to be disturbed and why in the world did you not knock before entering my office?.Last time i checked,i still owned this building".
"Sir you can scold me later but just tune in to the news channel now"..I looked at her skeptically but i gave in to her request.
After tuning in to the news channel,what i saw shook me to my core.almost all the news channels were saying the same thing.i looked at the flat screen tv in my office as if it just grew a head.
"the report reaching us concerning a private air craft that crashed in the middle of the ocean has left us all restless.the aircraft carrying two of our most prominite business tycoons and newly weds:Mr Johnathan Brown and his wife Mrs Kate Brown was found crushed beyond recognition this morning.reports reaching us shows that there were no survivors.They are succeded by young maxwell brown.stay tuned for more updates".
"It cannot be..It cannot be true.My brother and his wife are safe somewhere in Africa"Harris protested vehemently to the authenticity of what he just saw.
"Sir,please calm down.i just got confirmation from our security detail.the aircraft they boarded crashed into the ocean last night".
"What?,how is that possible.wasn't the aircraft thorougly checked before they boarded it.Gideon..where the hell is he".Harris yelled so loud the whole of New York must have wondered where the scream had come from.He was about to yell once more before the office door suddenly burst open.
"Sir i am here.there is a situation down stairs.there is a swam of reporters down stairs".He said hurriedly.
"Then handle it.i need to leave the office right now so get the car ready immediately."
"But sir you have an important engagement in the next 20 minutes".Rachael stated looking concerned.
"what the hell Rachael.cancel all my engagements untill i get back".
"yes sir.."she replied looking worried.Harris stormed out of his office with Gideon hotly on his tail.he got to the lobby only to be greeted by the parazzi flashing their cameras at him and asking questions.
"Mr brown is it true that your brother the CEO of Applied technology Inc.was involved in an aircrash last night with his wife?".The first reporter asked
"Mr brown what is the fate of the company?will u be filling your brothers shoes as the new CEO of ATI?".The second reporter asked.
Gideon and four other men surrounded him creating a path for him and in the process blocking his face from the camera's untill they all got into his car.
"Get those reporters out of my building right now".He yelled furiously once in the car to the person on the other line.After about thirty minutes on the road,the car suddenly came to a screehing halt.he looked out through the car window and saw a lady who stood frozen by the side of the road holding two cups of coffee with a stain in the front of her white blouse.
"Oh my God!..you just spilled my coffee."she exclaimed furiously.
"you should be grateful you didnt get run over.you should be more careful while crossing the road".Harris said immediately he came out of the car still holding his cell phone in his hand.
"Are you seriously blaming this on me?, you should be talking to your careless driver who wasn't paying proper attention to the road".she said in a dangerously low tune.the sight of her furious and trying to control her anger amused him for some reason but since he had more important things to take care of,he decided to wrap things up.
"look here miss,i have more important things to take care of rather then waste my time standing here..He started his way back to his car but he suddenly turned around and said
"and before i forget miss,your gonna need a change of clothing".After saying that,he walked away briskly.
He left her standing on the side of the road starring daggers in his direction.Something about her intrigued him.He just couldn't put his finger on it but in the mean time,he had more pressing issues to take care of.He just hoped she changed her blouse seeing as the coffee stain on it revealed the lacy black bra she had on.
