Harrison's POV
Its been two weeks already and I've not been myself. I had not been able to get in touch with Bridget and I felt like she completely blocked me out of her life for good. The thought of loosing her alone was too much to bear. I couldn't stay in my penthouse because every thing reminded me of her. Everywhere I turned, I felt like I was been hunted. I couldn't take it anymore. I had to come over to my parents mansion to clear my head. Thankfully, max had been staying with them after he and Linda won the school talent show. I remember trying to talk to her during the talent show, but she completely blocked me out telling me in clear terms that she wanted nothing to do with me anymore.
I had been avoiding everyone since I got here including Jerry who tried to reach me countless number of times. I just wanted to be alone. In the spirit of being alone, I strolled down to the garden where my brother and I used to come and water the plants when we were kids. It was a beautiful garden that was regularly cared for by the gardener.
"Beautiful isn't it? I remember you and your brother always coming to play here when you both were little" My dad handed me a cup of coffee as he reminisced over fond memories.
"I miss him dad" I said to him.
"I miss him too Son, wherever he is, I know his smiling down on us" He reassured me.
"Son, is everything alright, ever since you got here, you've been uneasy. How is Bridget, she's a fine young lady and a keeper" My dad said with a smile on his face" I sighed
"People always say you can't escape from your past because it always comes back to bite you in the ass. Does that mean that one is condemned to a life of unhappiness and regret for a life time?" I asked my dad as we walked to a nearby bench kept in the garden for relaxation.
"Son, the past does not define you. Everyone is bound to make mistakes and they are there to help us grow, to become better people and eventually help others from our experience s in life."
"How has your relationship with mum been intact all these years. You guys are the perfect couple." I envied my parents sometimes, they were inseparable.
"There is nothing like a perfect woman, man or a perfect relationship. All you need is love, understanding and most of all patience." He sighed before revealing. "Your mother and I weren't always in sync like we are right now. We didn't always see eye to eye or agree on anything at all because I had my priorities mixed up. I was very young then and I had just become the CEO of a company worth billions of dollars. It got to my head and I forget who I was. It got so bad that your mother finally left me for another man for a while" He nodded when he saw the shock on my face.
"I realised that I needed to deal with the root of our problem. I knew I had to be a better man if I still wanted a relationship with your mother and when I got my priorities straight, I went after my woman. You see, nothing good comes easy or on a platter of gold. You have to work for it. If you want the best, you need to make sure you have what it takes to maintain it." He tapped me on my knee before walking back into the house.
With that, I knew what I had to do. I had to set the record straight.

Bridget's POV
"Are you paying with your credit card or in cash" the lady at the register asked me. I was in the grocery store getting some provisions before my phone rang. It was Linda telling me to hurry over to my apartment because there was a gas leak. I hurriedly paid and left the store. When i got to my door step, I slowed down when I saw a tall frame blocking the entrance. His back was turned to me but I could tell who he was just from his Cologne. I took a minute to compose myself before clearing my throat.
