"Bridget open the door or i swear to God am gonna break it down..Bridget".linda was outside the door banging it so hard that i thought she would rip the door off its hinges.
"hold your horses am coming."I yelled back while running towards the door to unlock it.immediately i opened the door,she rushed in looking rather pissed.Oops!..anytime she got angry,things could get a bit messy so i just backed away from her slowly and gently like i was trying to escape a hungry lion but in this case,an angry linda.
"Before you kill me,just know that i love you and you look really pretty this afternoon..is that a new shirt?.."i said trying to appease her but before i could go on,she hushed me by raising her hand.
"do you know how long i've been out there knocking on that door?didn't you hear me?".she said while taking steady breaths to calm herself "not to mention you ignoring my calls,whats the deal with that".
"am sori luv,i was cleaning up my bathroom i didnt hear you knock.it was more like you were banging on the door but urhmm..'knocking'thats ok too..i had my head set on and the volume was so high thats why i didnt hear you knock or my phone ring.please dont be mad at me...pretty pretty please with a cherry on top please...."i said with my puppy dog eyes on full display.i smiled knowing that she would fall for it again.she did every single time.
"you know that i can't stay mad at you with those cute puppy dog eyes of yours.Ok...i forgive you..so are you done with your chores?"she asked as she headed to take a seat.
"Ya i am.i was just about to have my bath..so whats up bitch".
"since its saturday,i've decided we should have some girl time you know..lets go shopping,have lunch at that resturant you love so much,watch some chick flick movies while eating ice cream.what do you think".
"Sounds good to me..i'll go freshen up.help your self with whatever is in the fridge.i'll be done in the next 30 minutes".
"you betcha".she replied and i rolled my eyes.i went to my room,brought out a casual outfit.a short black gown paired it with my favourite brown leather knee length boots.i quickly had my bath,applied light make up on before putting on my dress.after grabbing my purse,i looked at myself in the mirror one more time before heading out.linda was sprawled on my couch flicking through my magazine collection.she looked up when she saw me approaching and nodded with approval when she saw my outfit.
"are you ready?" i asked her while grabbing my keys.
"ya lets get this show on the road".she smacked my butt on her way out.i locked up and we headed for the mall.we hailed a cab which took us to the shopping mall in record time.we picked out a few items like some jeans,tops,sun glasses and some lingeria...yeah,we went to the lingeria section.after we were satisfied with what we got we left for my favourite resturant where they make the best lobsters..it wasn't far from 'All Times Shopping Plaza' so we walked.we got there shortly and we went straight to our table to order our meals..
"i'll have a salad and a plate of lobster and for the drink,i'ld like a chocolate milk shake."i ordered after looking at the menu.
"i'll have the same but with a strawberry milk shake.thank you".linda ordered and the waitress left to go get our orders."bridget,my mum has been asking about you.she is not happy that you havn't come to see her in a while" linda said after the waitress had left our table.linda's parents have been like parents to me ever since mine died in a fire accident.they have been very supportive of me and my career.they helped my through school even though i had a trust fund left to me by my parents..they were very loving and they have been ever since.
soon after our meals arrived and we dug in."tell her not to worry and that i'll give her a call so that we can set a date.".i said reassuringly after i took my first bite.
"alright but dont take too long because"....Linda's mouth hung open as she suddenly stopped talking.i looked at her in surprise
"linda are you ok?"i asked curiously shortly after a brief pause.
"i think i just died and went to heaven..she saw the look on my face and so she decided to explain.."The hottest guys ever just walked into this resturant with a cute boy...she paused briefly as she pondered as if solving a difficult mathematical question.."Its either their wives are dead or they are gay but i prefer the former."
I laughed lightly at the look on her face when i reminded her of an important fact she must have forgotten.."linda..do you remember a certain guy,light skinned,blonde hair?...david Your BOYFRIEND?".
she sighed and said"a girl can dream..they are behind you.turn around and see these hunks for yourself".i chuckled as i nodded my head in disbelieve.I slowly turned around to see these 'hunks'that made my friend's mouth water.What i saw left me breathless for the second time since our encounter..
