Chapter 10

Mitch's POV
I slowly opened my eyes.

I was in a small room with only one door. The walls were made of stone; I was clearly in a basement. My hands and feet were chained to the wall. My feet were a couple inches off of the ground so I was hanging their. My wrists were red from the chains already.

How long was I here for?

I realized I wasn't wearing a shirt, or pants. I was only in my boxers.

Suddenly, the door opened and Jerome walked in.  He was wearing a light blue long sleeve with jeans. I noticed he was holding something behind his back too. . .

His face was blank, expressionless. He looked at me and sighed.

"Mitch, you should really learn to shut your mouth. Your lucky, anyone else would have been killed for pulling a stunt like that." Jerome said seriously.

"And why wasn't I? Why didn't you kill me?" I asked.

Jerome looked at me then looked at his feet.

"It was my call. I told them not to kill you."He said as he approached me.

"Why?" I asked.

"Look, I'm not here to answer your questions, I'm here to punish you."

He pulled out the thing behind his back.

It was a whip.

"Your going to whip me?" I asked.

"Be glad they didn't send Tyler to whip you." He smirked. He unraveled the whip then took it by the handle.

"20 should be good." He said.

"Wait 20 wha-" The whip came into contact with my bare chest interrupting me. It made a red mark quickly and it was pretty noticeable.

"One." Jerome said.

He brought the whip back again then whipped me a second time. This time it cut the skin, not very deep but enough to draw blood.

"F-Fuck!" I yelled. I wasn't going to cry, I couldn't look weak in front of Jerome.

"Two."

                        * * *

After 20 lashes, my skin burned and I had multiple cuts. I was starting to feel a light headed. I hung there panting, my hands were raw from grabbing the chains that held me to the wall. I looked up at Jerome, he looked down at me with. . . regret?

He threw the whip into a corner.

"Someone will be here soon to bring you back to your room. Until then, stay here." Jerome said. He walked over to me and unlocked the chains. I fell to the ground, too weak to stand. Jerome looked at me and sighed.

"Mitch you won't survive if you're being disobedient." And with that, he walked out of the room.
