Chapter 16

Mitch's POV
After lunch we headed back to the small clearing.
"Okay Mitch, now let's see if you can do anything without getting angry. We'll just be over here discussing some thing's and if you do something, just yell." Jerome said as he and Tyler walked away to the edge of the clearing.

I sighed and walked over to a stump. I doubt I'll do anything. I sat down and looked around. There was nothing here but trees and a couple of animals.
Birds flew from tree to tree, I saw a couple of deers when we were walking here too. I listened as the birds sang sweet melodies. Sounded pretty girly but I didn't care.
Birds of different varieties flew back and forth in the sky. I wish I could fly like them.
I noticed the air shifted around me, indicating something was happening.
Maybe. .
I stood up and walked into the centre of the clearing. The air around me stayed the same, slowly going in circles around me.
It started increasing speed, just as I hoped it would. Soon enough me feet lifted off of the ground slowly. I held my arms out, trying to keep me balance. The air circled faster around me and I went higher in the air.
I kept going higher till I was just above the trees. I managed to keep myself from going higher luckily. I looked down at the clearing. I was probably a few meters off of the ground, if I fell there would be a good chance that I'd break something.
It felt almost natural being up here though. My arms and legs floated in the air and I tried me best to keep my balance.
Wow it looks amazing from up here.
I saw some birds fly underneath me, clearly avoiding me. I slightly leaned forwards, and surely enough I shirted forwards. I was trying to get on top of a tree. I continued moving forwards slowly till I was just above a large branch.
Go. . . Down. . .
Somehow that worked and I lowered myself on to the branch. Once my feet we planted on the branch the air stopped circling around me.
"Jero- C-captain! Tyler!" I yelled with excitement. I saw them both run out of the trees and into the clearing.
Jerome looked up at me with a 'what the hell?!' expression. Tyler had same expression.
"Mitch how the hell did you get up their?!" Jerome yelled. I laughed.
"I don't know, I flew I guess."
"You what?" Tyler asked confused. I chuckled and walked to the edge of the branch. The air spun around me again like last time.
"Watch." I said confidently. Jerome crossed his arms and watched. They both had amused expressions. They probably thought I was going to fall.
I took a deep breathe and stepped off of the branch.
I dropped a little, then began floating up slightly. I leaned forwards and slowly moved till I was above them.
"See? I can. . fly I guess." I laughed.
The look on their faces were priceless. Jerome's mouth was open in shock and Tyler looked like he just saw a ghost.

"What?" I smirked.

"That is not fucking 'levitating. . .'" Tyler mumbled. I laughed and lowered myself. Once my feet were on the ground the air went back to normal and I was just standing in front of them now.

"I don't know if I can do anything else yet though." I looked at Jerome who was still in shock.

"Seriously, what's wrong? Have you never seen someone fly?"

Oh, wait. . .

"Are you kidding me Mitch? Humans can't fucking fly dumbass. What we just saw was impossible, I knew you could levitate, but fucking fly? That's incredible." Tyler said annoyed.

I laughed lightly and scratched the back of my neck.

"What were you guys doing anyways?" I asked.

"We were discussing some things." Jerome finally spoke up.

"Okay, well I'm bored. Can we go back to camp or something?" I whined. Tyler rolled his eyes and turned away from me. I looked at Jerome pleadingly.

"Fine, we'll go for a walk. Follow me."

Jerome lead us to a large lake that was surrounded by trees. It was a beautiful area. The water was clear, sand surrounded the lake and their was even a small waterfall on the other side.

"Wow." I smiled. We sat down on the sand admiring the view.

"Anyone wanna go swimming?" Jerome asked.

"We don't have bathing suits though." I pointed out.

"Just go in your boxers then."

"It is a hot day, why not." Tyler said as he took of his clothing then ran into the water. Me and Jerome watched as he slowly made his way into the water.

"Watch this." Jerome whispered.

"Hey Tyler! Do a trick!" Jerome yelled. Tyler smirked and turned his back to us. I watched carefully as the water began swirling around him. Suddenly snake-like lines of water rose out of the lake and swirled around Tyler gracefully. The snake-like lines of water slowly began making there way over to me and Jerome.

"Crap." Jerome muttered. The water swirled over top of us then suddenly fell, soaking us both. I heard Tyler laugh.

"Tyler you asshole! Know my clothes are soaking!" Jerome yelled angrily.

"Well now your wet already so come in the water!"

"Ugh, fine." Jerome muttered quietly. He stood up and slowly undressed himself. He had an impressive 8 pack, he must've noticed me admiring it because he smirked. I felt my face heat up quickly so I turned my head away. Jerome walked into the water and joined Tyler. I sat their still soaking wet and watched them slash each other like little kids.

"Mitch! Come in the water!" Jerome yelled. I nodded my head no, to be honest I couldn't swim.

"Come on brat! It's fun! Usually newbies like you don't get to do this stuff!" Tyler yelled.

I sighed and stood up. I slowly started removing my clothing. I blushed when I felt a pair of eyes on me. I looked over to see Jerome watching me, he quickly turned his head around though. I felt my face heat up even more. I didn't exactly have an 8 pack like Jerome but I had a decent 6 pack.

I walked towards the water hesitantly.

"Come on Mitch! Afraid of the water or something?" Tyler mocked. I rolled my eyes then slowly made my way into the water. It was surprisingly warm. I continued walking till my shoulders were underwater. Jerome and Tyler were swimming were I couldn't touch.

"Hey Mitch!" I turned my head towards Tyler and Jerome but was greeted by a huge wave coming towards me. I could here Tyler laughing.

Shit.

The wave hit sent me underwater. I flailed around in the water, trying to get back to the surface but the current sent me to the bottom of the lake. I felt my back hit the sand, indicating I was at the bottom. I struggled to get to the surface but it didn't really do anything. I managed to stand but my head still remained underwater. I must've been carried further into the lake where I couldn't touch. I tried swimming to the surface but it barely did anything. I felt my lungs start to burn. I heard someone yell my name but I wasn't sure who it was.

After a few seconds, I couldn't hold my breathe any longer. I felt someone grabbed my arm but it was already becoming dark. . .
